ORIGINAL BRIEF-ZIZI Fresh Talent. Initial responses. I liked these but the competition brief was a bit of a dead end. I will do it but it didnt offer me the range that I wanted to go with for this particular brief.

But, whatever happaens I made a pattern that I like!

I decided to use Gourmet burger Kitchen. They have strong content but their branding is a tad mis match and sloppy. Besides I love burgers!

First play with content and imagery. Whats great is that they have so much to play with. Their menu is extensive and fun.

I think the non linear drawing works best for simplicity and flexibilty to be used on other deliverables.

They make a nice pattern.

However, the initial menu idea doesnt work. The different meals arent diffrenciated. They all look the same until a closer look which shouldnt be right if there is so much image involved. The format is safe too. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX.

I like the broken up burger to show the different layers. I will do more of this. It makes the company all about the burger which I think is great to use for the USP.

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX FOR MENU FORMAT. Burger cut outs and acrylic is making me excited!

MOCK UP IDEA! I think this will look cool on the approopriate coloured acrylics! I could overlay drawn detail on vinyll sticker or screen print!

Signage! It could be dodgy using food in toilet signs...

For the takeaway range I wanted it to be ALL ABOUT THE BURGER. Thas why ive taken each layer and used them on a different shape for the burger box. I think it works well and could look good on other shapes too.

I tried the idea of having hands hold the burger box like a real burger but then I thought whats the point as your hands will be holding it any-way!

With a more appropraute logo done for the range using feltip I like the burger layers on the drink. it creates a great burger identity. Thor-ough which is what the brand needed!

I continued this onto the dirnk menu. I wanted to do a similar format idea to this menu but it was in practical considering the order in which you orer your dirnks compared to food at the table. I used the same hand drawn type to make it more consistent.

A few inital mock ups! I like the idea of the cutlery but I think they could become t atty and gross. I think the plainer the better in this case.

I like the way the burger layer image is being used accross eveyrthing being taken out of the restaurant to make a real statment of the store. I think there is something humerous about using it on different shapes and objects too.

Laser cutting done! I’m really pleased ith the outcome! The double layers re-ally inhance the shapes as well as hav-ing less pressure on the content to have to deal with illustration next to it.

And again! onto a buyable GBK Burger sauce for a table top deliverable.

I wanted to make a 3d object to really push the deliverables. So i made a mock up hat which could be worn by the staff or buy kid customers.

It wil have a flag on top too..

YOU CANT READ BLACK ON BROWN, but apart from that the vinyll printing and fastening went well!
