The person commissioning you to design the product and the potential users of the product.
A brief summary of what is required of you and your design, this will be set by the client.
The reason the client commissioned you. The problem is what needs to be solved or answered by your design/s.
Looking into what others have done to solve the same or a similar problem to yours as well as discovering what the your target audience wants/expects from your design.
Narrowing down the brief to be more specific. This can include the exact measurements of your potential designs, the quantity and the range of products designed.
A Range of unique and diverse design ideas that answer the problem to be developed.
Comparing your ideas/possible solutions to the brief and making note of the pros and cons of each.
Selecting the best elements and features of your ideas and combining them to create a new, more effective design.
A Trial creation of your idea. 10 Evaluating your prototype, discovering what still needs to be improved.
Designing your final outcome and manufacturing/ creating the final products.
An objective and subject review of my product and it’s suitability for purpose. An honest review of my project management and performance.
