Design Variety Viking Roser Pressed Metal Roof Tiles are available in a wide range of colours and profiles. In fact, the Viking Roser Roof Tile range has the largest range of colours and profiles available in New Zealand. Not only do Viking Roser Roof Tiles offer greater design variety, but they also have more definition in the profiles, providing a more striking appearance. This commitment to aesthetics and design variety differentiates the Viking Roser Roof Tile from all others. Lightweight With all profiles in the Viking Roser Roof Tile range weighing less than 7kg per m2, a Viking Roser Roof is a very light roof. A lightweight roof means less stress on the building, faster installation and lower construction costs. Knowing you don’t have tonnes of extra weight hanging over your head, a Viking Roser Roof offers peace-of-mind. Durability Viking Roser Roof Tiles are designed and manufactured to withstand the most severe weather conditions from the heat of the tropics, to the cold of the deep-South; including strong winds and heavy rain. The steel component provides great strength and long-term corrosion resistance through its 55% Aluminium-Zinc alloy coated sheet steel. An additional corrosive- resistant coating is applied during manufacture to either side of this steel for added durability. The stone-chips are imbedded on to a durable basecoat to provide enhanced protection and beauty. Quality Materials The materials used in the Viking Roser Roof Tiles are of the highest quality: Galvalume Steel The steel component of the Viking Roser Roof Tiles comes from Korea, via the same manufacturer who supplies world leading automotive and appliance manufacturers. The steel used has a coating of an aluminium-zinc alloy known as Galvalume, which is 100% recyclable at the end of its usable life. Ceramic Granules The Viking Roser Roof Tiles use the same ceramic granules as Viking CertainTeed asphalt shingles. These are recognised as the best ceramic granules in the world. The quality of these granules counters colour fade and UV, providing superior aesthetics and performance. The granule coating on a Viking Roser Roof is applied using industry leading technology. The granules that are used are smaller; more consistent; and are adhered via a double-bake process, offering maximum chip adhesion and durability. Wind Resistance The Viking Roser Roof Tiles system exceeds the highest of wind zones in New Zealand (Extra High), with the tiles being able to withstand winds of up to 210kph. Easy Installation The Viking Roser Tiles can be cut, bent and shaped to meet the most demanding roof design. They can be installed on any roof pitch from 12 degrees to vertical. Trained installers of the Viking Roser Roof Tile can be found throughout New Zealand. Are you Reroofing? Viking Roser Roof Tiles can bring a new look to your home if you are unsatisfied with your existing roof. The tiles are designed to be easily installed on almost all roofs with a pitch of greater than 12 degrees. Quality Assurance Viking Roser Roof Tiles hold a 50-year product warranty on the weatherproofing of the roofing system, providing peace-of-mind to the end-user. SolutionThe owner turned to Viking Roofspec, who had the perfect solution in the Viking Roser roof tile, with an extensive range of colours and profiles to choose from. He decided on the Stonewood Shake profile in the charcoal colour.

In terms of withstanding coastal conditions, the owner was comforted in the knowledge that the alloy coating of the Roser tile meant the roofing system was perfect, without requiring any special treatment. Additionally, the textured finish of the Roser tile uses the same mineral chip that Viking’s CertainTeed shingle has used in New Zealand for the past 28 years.

Having not used a metal tile before, the builder wanted assurance that the Roser Roof tile

would not delay the project. With a Viking Approved Applicator installing the entire roofing system, and with no purlins required, there was less work for the builder with the Roser roofing system.

ResultThe owner was thrilled with the final result. Not only did he have a stunning roof that set the property apart from their neighbours, but he could now look forward to spending 50 comfortable, confident years under the Viking Roser Roof warranty.

HE COULD NOW LOOK FORWARD TO SPENDING 50 COMFORTABLE,

CONFIDENT YEARS UNDER THE VIKING

ROSER ROOF WARRANTY

A NEW HOUSE BEING BUILT IN OREWA WAS IN NEED OF AN AESTHETICALLY-PLEASING ROOF. THE WISH LIST FROM THIS OWNER WAS A ROOF WITH A POINT OF

DIFFERENCE TO THE CORRUGATED STEEL ROOFS IN THE AREA, BUT WHICH WOULDN’T COST A FORTUNE. BEING WITHIN 400M OF THE BEACH ALSO CREATED THE NEED FOR A

ROOF THAT COULD WITHSTAND HARSH COASTAL CONDITIONS.

ROSER ROOF TILES UTILISE THE SAME MINERAL CHIP COATING AS CERTAINTEED ASPHALT SHINGLES, WHICH HAVE PERFORMED ADMIRABLY IN NEW ZEALAND FOR THE LAST 30 YEARS
