EXPERIENCE IN USING DIVERSE AND EFFECTIVE TEACHING/LEARNING METHODS

Student-centered learning puts students' interests first, acknowledging student voice as

central to the learning experience. In a student-centered learning space, students choose

what they will learn, how they will learn, and how they will assess their own learning.

So, I practice with Student-centered learning methods instead of teacher-centered learning.

My teaching methods include

(1) Active learning: In which students solve problems, answer questions, formulate

questions of their own, discuss, explain, debate, or brainstorm during class;

(2) Cooperative learning: In which students work in teams on problems and projects

under conditions that assure both positive interdependence and individual accountability;

(3) Inductive teaching and learning: In which students are first presented with

challenges (questions or problems) and learn the course material in the context of

addressing the challenges. Inductive methods include inquiry-based learning, case-based

instruction, problem-based learning, project-based learning, discovery learning, and just-in-

time teaching.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE (Area).

Operations Research (Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Production Inventory

Control, Vendor-Buyer Coordination, Development of the Heuristic Technique for solving

NP-hard problems appeared in the field of OR, etc), Combinatorial Optimization
