Gauge: 20 sts x 28 rows = 4” (10 cm) in pattern, unstretched. Abbreviations: CO = Cast on K = Knit K2tog = Knit 2 stitches together P = Purl St(s) = Stitch(es) Begin Pattern: CO 60, 70, 80 sts Join in the round, careful not to twist. Place marker to show beginning of round. [K3, P2] until piece measures 1", 1.5", 1.5" from cast on edge. Change to US 10 needles. Round 1: K all sts Round 2: *P4, K5, P1, repeat from * to end of round. Round 3: *K3, P2, K3, P2, repeat from * to end of round. Round 4: *P6, K1, P3, repeat from * to end of round. Round 5: *K3, P2, K3, P2, repeat from * to end of round. Round 6: *P4, K5, P1, repeat from * to end of round. Repeat Rounds 1-6 until approximately 6", 7", 7" from cast on edge. Start decreases (change to DPNs when necessary) Round 1: *K8, K2tog, repeat from * to end of round. Round 2: *K7, K2tog, repeat from * to end of round.
