The things we own tell something about us.When a thing get an identity (and a story)
it becomes an object.
The things we use everyday changes the way we behave, our relationships and our perception
of the reality.
The things we use can shape our environment andsocial processes.
The presence of simple prototyping platforms is leading to a “democratization of invention” with many people
developing project for their self and their community.
When we design an everyday object we are affecting the life quality of people.
What does make and object “smart”?
Things are starting to be autonomous but not independent.Features become behaviours, data become stories,
interactions become dialogues.
Humans and objects are nodes of a network. The value of an object is in the relationships it enables.
Even if any connection is possible it doesn’t mean it’s useful.
