Wow! What a sale. Over 700 hd with an amazing assortment of replacement type heif-ers, grassers, and almost 100 hd of butcher stock. Bart and Jesse Huisman (Batnuni Lk) got the fire lit with 634 lb strs worth 204.00, 545 lb strs that hit 220.00 and their 562 lb hfrs cracked 185.00. Little Valley Farms (Van) had 517 lb Angus X strs reach 220.00 and 485 lb hfrs racing to 213.00! Woodmere Cattle Co (Telkwa) in with 566 lb X bred strs at 220.00, 595 lb hfrs reaching 180.00 and the 2150 lb Simm bull that topped 98.00. We had a few heavy Simm strs in from Pooles Arrow Ranch (Punchaw), at 858 lb, that brought 170.00, and 741 lb strs at 189.00. Pooles Arrow’s Simm hfrs (replacement quality), weighing 729 lb, forced 184.00, and their 599 lb hfrs settled at 200.00. Triple N Ranch (Burns Lk) saw their 698 lb Blk hfrs trade at 171.00. Muir Stock Farms (Van) in with 673 lb hfrs at 180.50 and 1467 lb cows right on 80.00. Lance Muehlen (Fort Fraser) had a 1745 lb blk bull push to 90.00. Andy Meints (Houston) had 777 lb Red hfrs fetch 157.00, 554 lb hfrs at 181.00, and a 1515 lb cow that soared to 82.00. Peebles Ranch (Burns Lk) brought 637 lb Char X hfrs that edged 183.50 and 730 lb hfrs at 170.00. Brian Hall (Van) had a pen of flashy 762 lb Char X hfrs notch 160.00, 833 lb hfrs at 150.00, and the little sisters, at 598 lb, cruised to 181.25. John Vanzanten (Burns Lk) saw his 2095 lb Red bull reach 86.00. Lazy B Ranch (Houston) had a ring load of 875 lb Blk hfrs fetch 150.00 while Ryon and Narel Kusler (Van) traded a pair of 1428 lb Blk cows for 77.00. One of the highlights of the sale was a 940 lb Blk hfr that Harry and Jean Dykstra donated to the Food Grains Bank, Andy Meints bought her at 145.00. That about sums up this sale. Great quality, solid prices, and a perfect spring day to enjoy it. Our last spring sale is May 22nd. MARKET REPORT FOR MAY 13th, 2020 Total receipts, 1,562 hd for Vanderhoof, Kamloops, and Direct Sales

KAMLOOPS REGULAR SALE, TUESDAY, MAY 12th, 2020

We had another blockbuster of a sale here in Kamloops as over 500 hd of cattle met keen buyer interest! We had a huge local rancher trade today as well as professional buyer power that kept this sale strong, we saw some record prices in the feeder divi-sion! The Diamond T Ranch put the go to the day with heavy strs, 813 lb, that topped 170.00. 9 hd of their 654 lb Blk Angus strs hit a sale top of 205.00 and the heavy boys, at 700 lb, saw 207.00. C-E Ranches had 732 lb Simm x strs that notched 201.00. Keith Boulter had fancy 454 lb Angus x h/c trade to 207.00. RRTS Charo-lais saw their 745 lb Char strs trade to 221.00 and their 410 lb Char s/c hit 247.50. The Meadow Creek Ranch brought 618 lb Angus x s/c that grabbed 215.00. Paul Hooysma was in with 23 top calves. His 521 lb Hereford s/c raced to 232.50 and his 501 lb s/c hit 240.00 while a beautiful pen of his 558 lb Blk Angus h/c set the record at 205.00. Brian Foley, Louise Demarni, and Brian Foley Jr. saw their fancy 635 lb Blk Angus h/c hit 195.00 while 11 hd of their 649 lb replacement quality Blk Angus hfrs hit 191.00. Their 663 lb hfrs topped 192.00. Paul Demarni set a group of 673 lb Blk Baldie hfrs in the ring that topped 187.00. The Indian Gardens Ranch set one incredible pace on a liner load of hfrs. The 1st load of 669 lb Angus x hfrs rang the bell at 184.00. Next, 43 hd of their fancy, 560 lb, Angus x h/c, perfect for grass, pow-ered to 198.00. Alex Lytvynenko saw his 563 lb strs sell to 220.00 while Clarence Schneider watched his 590 lb Blk hfrs roll up to 196.00. His 950 lb strs traded at 180.00. Next we rolled into cow / calf pairs, starting with Ken Barnes who had young, 1st calf hfrs with good calves at foot that traded to 1750.00 and 4 yr old Char cows with calves that brought 1,900.00. The Blk Angus cow / calf pairs from Len & Marvin Tonn were solid. Their young cows with huge February calves at foot traded to 2,275.00. Steve Langenegger had some excellent Red Angus cow / calf pairs trade to 2,000.00 per pair with a young pair selling for 2,250.00. We also saw Gordon & Chris Hudson with some nice Char x pairs that traded to 1,925.00. Huge Thanks to everyone for this solid sale! Our next Kamloops sale will be on Tuesday, May 26th.
