For appr.80% of the harvest are cold-stores nessesary, it means
Georgia needs for appr.550.000…600.000 t cold stores, ROI 3..4 years
Appr. 92.5 % were produced in family holdings, 7,5% in agricultural
enterprices!!!
Small family companies are not able to invest in cold -stores!!

= private production and corporately selling/merchandising
The system of private production and corporately selling is using by
Fruit and vegetable producers in the EU succsesful since dozens of
years!! It is the only way for producers to get acceptabel prices from
the big food retailers!!
Better than big central coldstores with high investments , difficult
handling and long transport- routes from the production-places!!!
Georgia: Trading Hub on the new Silk Road

China´s „One Belt One Road“ initiative aims at reviving the ancient Silk Road
Best route runs via Georgia where great investments in (rail)roads and sea
routes are being made: trade volume will greatly increase
Georgia has FTAs with China and the EU and lies centrally between the two
