Developing A Brand Logo
1st I opened Photoshop and created a canvas with sizing appropriate for task ahead
I then used the line tool and created a single line across the canvas
Once this line was created I duplicated it and rotated it to create these shapes
When I was happy with the with of these shapes I used the fill tool and painted the insides black
I then proceeded to duplicate the shape and mirror the shape on the reverse side
Once I was sure the shapes was aligned with each other I merged the layers and duplicated them

I done step 5 and 6 again until I got the starburst layout I wanted
I decreased the size of the shapes and increased the amounts of them in order to create this outcome
Once I was happy about the size I tried to use some effected to enhance the overall look
I used a yellow inner and outer glow being the point of interest towards the centre and this is where the brand name will be
I added a green colour overlay instead of the black; by doing this I'm keeping to the colour scheme set by representatives of my target audience
For this brand I wanted a groovy typography so I researched possible resources and found this font on Dafont.com

I downloaded a free font called Alba , created a new layer and inserted the text on the image.
I used similar effects to this font as I did to the starburst shapes, in doing so ensured my logo keeps to the theme that will attract my target audience

How I Created A Brand
My target audience for my product was females that are ages 25 or above. The product that I will be crea=ng a package for is tea. From this informa=on alone I came up with a range of idea’s for a brand name but ‘Living Green’ is what appealed to me but more importantly the target audience the most. This packaging not being adver=sed to me therefore my own views to this design has to be discredited. The majority of the audience responses about this brand name was posi=ve; this reassured me that this idea and other idea’s rela=ng to this will target the correct audience

Possible Alternatives During my progress of my logo creation once I inserted the starburst and added the effects the golden yellow and black themed logo inspired me to finish another variation of the Living Green logo. This logo may not be suited to those within my target audience but there are many ways this logo could be used. For example limited edition tea products or special offers; by continuing to develop this alternative logo I have ensured that this brand is ready for a verity of possible outcomes
Features of this logo compared to the original • Prestigious themed logo • Looks correct for a limited edition tea packaging • Wider audience will take interest in this logo

Summary of the logo creation process By completing the brand logo I can now push forward and proceed with the designs of the actual
package. The set brief is to create packaging that appeals to an already set and established target audience but also whilst doing this logo I have discovered alternatives and how powerful colour themes really are for each type of audiences. The appearance, size, shape and colours all have meaning but more importantly something that appeals to an audience so I have to ensure that I proceed on with this thought in mind when designing these packaging's.
