Redefining Townsville - A debate series to unlock the future of potential of Townsville.

Townsville is rightly basking in its rich history as it reflects on reaching a milestone anniversary of 150 years since foundation. While the city proudly reflects on its extraordinary growth from very humble beginnings, the 150th anniversary is also an ideal time to cast our minds to the future. To this end, the Townsville Bulletin and James Cook University have combined forces to develop a series of future-focused forums called ‘Redefining Townsville’. The three forums will be headlined by a list of pre-eminent speakers and will bring together a convergence of thinking around the challenges and opportunities which lie ahead - and how Townsville can tap into the potential of the Asian century. Ultimately it is hoped these events, and the debate they create, will go some way towards redefining the future of Townsville.
