Release the faith to prophecy

Learn how to receive a word from the Lord.

Move at the right time in the meeting

Cultivate a hunger for spiritual gifts

If you are not hungry to see spiritual gifts operate in your life you wont have it.The word covet (have a strong desire toward) is used 12 times in the NT and refers to the seeking of spiritual gifts.Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness; for they shall be filled.

Receive the quickening of Holy Spirit

The word translated “quickening” is used twelve times in the NT and means “to make alive” and “to give life”A person who prophesies must learn how to be quickened in his own spirit by Holy SpiritThe Word of God was inspired (God breathed) by the Spirit, and thus the prophetic word must be brought to life by the same SpiritThe Spirit will give the thoughts of the Lord to the congregation, lifting them to the spiritual realm

What to do

Don’t move forward to prophecy unless you sense the inner prompting and quickening of the Spirit upon you

A life of prayer, obedience, worship, and reading of the Word will kindle the Spirit’s quickening power in your life

Be sensitive to the lifting of the prophetic spirit

Before one commences to prophecy there is the awareness to some degree of the anointing upon oneselfAs one responds to this anointing and steps forward by faith with a prophetic utterance, Holy Spirit increases His prophetic anointingAs soon as the prophetic message is adequately communicated, Holy Spirit will lesson His unction, this is the best time to begin to slow down and stopSome prophesies are long and some are short, one must remember to start and stop according to the flow of the Spirit

To loose all fear of something

Rid yourself of fear

Fear of others

Fear of operating in a unknown realm

Fear of prophesying uninspired words
