 About the thermostat

U s e r ’s G u i d e - D e v i r e g ™ 5 5 0 T h e r m o s t a t

Introduction

Devireg™ 550 is an adaptive temperature control-ler, specially designed or floor heating systems. It can, however, also be used or other heatingsystems (e.g. with power heating units).

Te Devireg™ 550 will measure the radiant com-ort rom the floor combined with the comortrom the air temperature in the room to offsetthe outside weather condition. Tis means thatas soon as you have set your Devireg™ 550 atyour desired comort temperature. Devireg 550will then automatically adjust the heating tomeet your comort levels, regardless o changingweather conditions.

Devireg™ 550 is also capable o detecting a sud-den temperature drop in the room. Instead oswitching the heating on to immediately com-pensate, the Devireg™ 550 uses the inormationstored and then checks i this sudden drop o

temperature may be caused by or instance a

window that has been opened or 10 minutes.

Even the programming o economy tempera-tures (i.e. lowering o temperature during thenight and when you are at work) is very simple. You do not have to calculate how much ear-lier the heating should start in order to reach aspecific temperature at a specific time. Just tell

the Devireg™ 550 when you want the comorttemperature, and the Devireg™ 550 will take careo the rest. By identiying the rate o heat lossrom the room, the Devireg™ 550 knows whento start heating in order to achieve the selectedtemperature at exactly the right time.

Devireg™ 550 - the thermostat that thinks!

  About the thermostat

Network set-up with a controlling

master thermostat  I more Devireg 550™ thermostats have been

installed in the house, the electrician may havechosen to link them together in a network withone thermostat serving as master unit control-ling various settings on the other thermostats inthe network (also called slaves). In that case theollowing settings are controlled by the thermo-

stat that has been configured as master:

 • Time

 • Weekday

 • Economy set-back

I the thermostats are linked in a network, any

changes o time, weekday and/or periods withlowering o temperature must be made on thethermostat configured as master. Te changeswill then take effect on all slave thermostats.

Please contact the electrician to find out i the

thermostats in the house are linked in a network, and in case they are, which thermostat has beenconfigured as Master.
