Prayer of Offering o f the Precious Blood

Eternal Father, you have given Your only Son to be the Redeemer of the world andwilled that He should shed even to the last drop His Precious Blood for love of all

people. I offer you the effusion of the Precious Blood which flowed beneath the knife of

the circumcision, which watered the Garden of Olives, which flooded the praetoriumand streets of Jerusalem, which was shed in torrents at the Crucifixion, and whose lastdrops reddened the steel of the lance. In the name of this adorable Blood, grant to

sinners the grace of salvation, to the just an increase of love, and to all human beings a

large share in the merits which it has assured us. Pardon us in the name of this divine

Blood. Heed its pleading voice. Remember that it is the Blood of Your Son in whosename You have promised to hear our every prayer. Amen.

Each bead of the Precious Blood Chaplet is, as it were, a chalice filled with DivineBlood of Jesus, uplifted by Our Lady to the Eternal Father, imploring every grace

O Sacred Blood, that flowed so copiously seven times for my salvation, I love Thee, I

praise Thee, I adore Thee with the deepest feeling of gratitude! The purest fountain

from which Thou didst flow makes Thy memory so sweet. O Precious Blood, with

trumpet tones Thou speakest to me of the love of my God and Redeemer. How Ideplore my coldness and indifference towards Thee! Now, at last, I wish to return love

for love, blood for blood, if necessary. As often as my pulse beats, it shall greet Thee,

Thou sweet Guest of my soul, and shall return to the arteries warmed and purified by

Thy love. As long as the blood courses through my veins, it shall flow only for love ofThee; it shall circulate only for Thy interests and it shall turn cold and stand still only

Thou hast created me to Thine Own Image and Likeness. Thou hast redeemed me with

Thy Sons Precious Blood. Thou hast called me to the true faith, and preserved me frometernal death, which I so often deserved for my sins.

What return shall I make Thee I for these and all Thy favors?

I offer Thee Thine Only Son, Who offered His Lifeblood on the Altar this morning, uniting

my little sacrifices with His great Sacrifice; and thus I am able to make a realthanksgiving for all the blessings Thou hast bestowed on me and on all mankind.

Prayer to the Wounded Heart of Jesus

O my Most Loving and Gentle Jesus, I desire with allthe affections of my heart, that all beings created and

uncreated, should praise Thee, honor Thee and glorify

Thee eternally for that Sacred Wound wherewith Thy

Divine side was rent. I deposit, enclose, conceal in thatwound and in that opening in Thy Heart, my heart and

all my feelings, thoughts, desires, intentions

and all the faculties of my soul.

I entreat Thee, by the Precious Blood and Water that flowedfrom Thy Most Loving Heart, to take entire possession of me,

that Thou may guide me in all things.

Consume me in the burning fire of Thy Holy Love,

so that I may be so absorbed and transformedinto Thee that I may no longer be but one

with Thee. Amen.
