A group of Tax Experts from the IRS will be at Notre Dame

Hall on Sunday, November 12, at 12:00 PM to explain

details regarding taxes, particularly Income Tax Return

Little Bethlehem Christians is a group that represents

Christian families in Bethlehem and make their living as

wood carvers. After the Masses on Saturday and Sunday,

collection of hand-carved olive wood religious articles. Profit

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Academy of Brooklyn was thrilled to celebrate the 125th Jubilee of O.L.P.H. Parish. The Jubilee Committee worked hard to plan the celebrations and we were happy to be part of this memorable event. Many former students came "home" to visit and reconnect with old friends. Students greeted and led tours through our academy enjoying stories from alumni who attended O.L.P.H. in the 50's, 60;s 70's and 80's. An alum, who graduated in 1945 was thrilled to see our school is still thriving and bringing faith and learning to the Sunset Park Community. O.L.P.H. will always be home to those who have passed through our doors.

On November 4, 2017 our 8th graders will be taking the Test for Admission into Catholic High School (TACHS). The exam will determine the acceptance of students into Catholic High School. We pray our students will be successful in achieving the scores needed for gaining admission to the Catholic High Schools of their choice. Admission notices will be released in January.

O.L.P.H. Catholic Academy of Brooklyn's next big event will be our Family Grocery Bingo on November 17th in Notre Dame Hall at 7 PM. We hope our many friends can join us for an evening of fun and prizes.

Holy Communion. If you feel the Lord calling you to this

important ministry, or for more information, please call

Sister Lucille at the rectory about an upcoming workshop

at Bishop Kearney in December that you must attend.

Arise – Together in Christ. The small Arise

communities have begun to meet. Please pray

the Arise prayer for God’s blessings on all who

participate. See Fr. McDonald if you are interested in

Father Murray's course on St. Paul continues at 7 PM on

Thursday night in the rectory parlor and again on Friday

at 11 AM in the 59 Street Sacristy. Please bring your Bible.

Last weekend there were 3,060 people who came to OLPH

for the celebration of the Eucharist. The total collection

was $13,297.63. Thank you for your generosity in support-

ing our parish community. In the name of the God who

will not be undone in generosity, thank you!

La Academia Católica de Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro de Brooklyn estaba encantada de celebrar el 125° Jubileo de la Parroquia. El Comité de Jubileo trabajó duro para planificar las celebraciones y nos complace ser parte de este evento memorable. Muchos ex alumnos llegaron a "casa" para visitar y reconectarse con viejos amigos. Los estudiantes saludaron y condujeron a recorridos por nuestra academia disfrutando de historias de ex alumnos que asistieron a O.L.P.H. en los años 50, 60, s 70 y 80. Una alumna, que se graduó en 1945, se emocionó al ver que nuestra escuela todavía está prosperando y brindando fe y aprendiendo a la comunidad de Sunset Park. O.L.P.H. siempre será el hogar de aquellos que han pasado por nuestras puertas.

El 4 de Noviembre de 2017, nuestros alumnos de 8º grado tomarán el examen de admisión en Catholic High School (TACHS). El examen determinará la aceptación de los estudiantes en Escuelas Secundarias Catolicas. Oramos para que nuestros estudiantes tengan éxito en lograr los puntajes necesarios para obtener la admisión a las escuelas secundarias católicas de su elección. Los avisos de admisión se lanzarán en Enero.
