2. Manual Objectives Objective of this manual is to provide the hands on experience of the SAP transactions to the users. Based on the DEWA eService business processes the transaction flow has been structured in this document as per required business.

3. Description

DEWA eService is exclusively design for Consultant, Contractor and Govt Organization to apply and track the application online. DEWA eService will covers the wide range of the Electricity and Water services offered by DEWA. The services are:

Electricity  Water Building NOC Building NOC

Demolition NOC Demolition NOC

LV Design Approval Design Approval

LV Shop Drawing Approval Construction Drawing Approval

HV Design Approval Application

Application for Fit-Out Approval Application-Infrastructure (New)

HV Inspection On-line Estimate Payment

LV Inspection   Application   Application-Infrastructure (New)   On-line Estimate Payment   

As the owner of our products you can get convenient access to Creation and tracking of application and account information for certain services and performs select self-service transactions online.

4. System Requirement

To access the eService Website, we recommend your computer meets the following requirements:

Computer requirements

Your computer must have at least 1GB RAM, 100MB disk space, 133MHz, and Internet access.

Modem Requirements

The minimum speed requirement for a modem to access eService is 28.8Kbps, although we recommend using 56.6Kbps or higher speeds for optimal performance.

For the best eService experience we recommend you access the eService site using Microsoft® Internet Explorer - version 6.0 or higher and pop-up should be enable.

The following are known browsers or platforms that are not officially supported by eService:

America Online® Netscape Navigator® Microsoft® Internet Explorer - lower than version 6.0 Certain Sun Microsystems applications, such as, Hot Java Browser and StarOffice Browser Web TV Browsers for the blind (screen readers or braille-writers) Browsers that disable JavaScript Browsers that do not support JavaScript Other browsers, such as, Opera, Mozilla, IE-derivatives MSN Explorer & NeoPlanet, and any other

browser that supports HTML 4.0, CSS 1.0, and JavaScript 1.0 should be able to run eService. However, these browsers are not officially supported platforms and therefore, results vary compared to those of supported browsers and platforms.

5. How to Navigate?

DEWA eService is specially designed for Consultant, Contractor and Government Organization to serve his customer with full satisfaction. Consultant, Contractor and Government Organization needs to be register with DEWA for availing various services offered by DEWA.

To navigate you need to go to https://crm.dewa.gov.ae/

Availing Upon logging into the portal, please go to the eService tab. Select eService and you can directly connected to the application.

6. How to Register?

The Enrollment Process is applicable for following activities

Electrical Installation

Civil construction

Building contracting

General Maintenance and

Demolition

The following categories are available for Consultant and Contractor

Consultant – General ( Electro-Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Architectural etc)

Consultant – Electrical

Consultant – Utility (Govt. organization/Utilities/Companies etc)

Simple Steps for Registration

Step 1: Click on New User Enrollment Hyperlink

Step 2: Select Application Category from Drop down list e.g. Consultant-Electrical, General etc.

Step 3: Enter all mandatory fields

Step 4: Enter Valid Trade License or Approved Letter

Step 5: Update the contact person Details

Step 8: Enter User ID and Password

Step 7: Upload required documents

Step 9: Submit application

Step 10: System will automatically send SMS & E-mail

Step 11: Submitted Application will undergo through approval process in DEWA

Step 12: Upon approval, system will automatically send Notification to consultant and contractor.

9. Owner Registration To organize your Owner through Owner registration procedure by using unique identification key e.g. Emirates ID. Single identity for all process in DEWA e.g. Billing, NOC, DA etc.

10. Building NOC The purpose of getting Building NOC is to ensure the source of supply as well as safety and protection of existing network, Which is mandatory prior to obtain building permit from DM and to start construction activities at site

11. LV Design Approval

Enrolled consultants (consultant – Electrical & Consultant – Gov) and contractors (Contractor- Electrical &

Contractor – Fit outs) are applying on-line for obtaining Drawing Approval through e-Services of DEWA. The

purpose of obtaining Drawing Approval for low voltage wiring installation is to carry out the electrical installation

work complying with DEWA regulation for electrical installation and to apply for connection for the projects.

LV design Approval is issued for consultant who had obtain DEWA Building NOC specifying requirement of

DEWA Substation within the consumer plot, LV Design Approval is also pre-requisite for Applying Shop Drawing

Approval for Such Projects. If requirement of DEWA substation is not specified in DEWA Building NOC, such

cases LV design approval is not mandatory for issuing LV shop drawing approval to the contractors.

Only electrical contractor can apply for LV shop drawing which is mandatory for all the projects.

LV Shop Drawing for Fit-out works is issued to fit-out contractors as well as electrical contractors after the above

LV shop drawing approval for the main project where ever applicable. Such case DEWA NOC is not mandatory

for submission of application.

LV design approval and LV Shop Drawing Approval Process are two independent processes however the

process is identical except for the documents.

14. HV Design Approval

Design Approval Consultant needs to be enrolled with DEWA through Enrollment Process. The pre-requisite for

Applying Design Approval is to have valid Building NOC.

15. HV Inspection Releasing of power supply for new connection, substation room has to be approved by the HV Inspection unit

where ever substation is required. All this case related to the consultant of the project. Site Inspection for

substation room to be carried out by the HV inspection engineer once consultant requests for inspection. Once

the substation room is approved then it will go to the Est. & Job Order Section for further action.

16. Electricity/Water/Infrastructure Application The Application for Supply of Electricity and Water, eServices will provide an on-line electronic service with an

automated business workflow on DEWA’s website. Contractor, Consultant or Govt Organization needs to enroll

with DEWA using Enrollment Process to have a valid user id and password. Consultant, Contractor and Govt

Org can submit the Application after obtaining the Building NOC and Design Approval from DEWA. Once DEWA

receives the application from the consultant, contractor or Govt Organization the Application team will check the

integrity of the applicant and application. Then they will forward it to estimate department for Estimation.

17. 18. Track your Application Releasing of power supply for new connection has to be approved by the LV Inspection unit for which the concerned Electrical contractor of the project has to submit an inspection request. The supply to the premise is released by the metering staff.

Simple Steps for Search existing Owner and relate

Step 1: Enter any of the Search parameter e.g. Driving License No, Passport No, Trade License No, to identify an existing Owner or Press Search Button for Free Search Step 2: Select any of the Owner which you wish to create application.

 Step 3: Select any of the Owner which you wish to create application. Step 4: Select any of the Owner by pressing Owner Name Step 5: Search Approved NOC by plot no etc Step 6: Select Approved NOC by pressing NOC No
