The Irish Experience

Some Conclusions of Report:
The changes in prospect in the disabilities sector will require a review of procurement methods, a specification of services that aligns with assessed needs of clients and mechanisms to ensure compliance with standards.

DFI Organisation Healthcheck
To assist our member organisations implement and demonstrate better governance and quality standards, DFI rolled out a quality programme.
One of the first tasks undertaken was to put in place a diagnostic tool to provide a baseline:

• DFI next undertook extensive research to identify an ‘off-the-shelf’ quality management system that could be easily supported
• Having evaluated different systems DFI were impressed with the work being done by the Charities Evaluation Services in the UK around monitoring and evaluation and quality
