Ladies Circle Nepal2018-19
Half Yearly Report
Ladies Circle Nepal started their journey with lots of fun attending Ladies Circle International AGM, held
in Haugesund (Norway). LCN President Cr. Arti Agarwal, LCN Secretary Cr. Priya Goenka and LCN
Fellowship Convener Cr. Sunita Roongta attended the event.
In Norway they interacted, learnt, had loads of fun and most importantly made circler friends for life. “To
Travel is to explore and to be enlightened about the world”. Circling is all about making new friends and
working for the people who need us. With our motto “Choose to Shine” we tried to do various activities
in all possible areas and work towards the betterment of the society in any way in which we can
contribute because a lot of small changes bring a large change when combined just like many drops make
an ocean.
Fellowship:
• 1st NEX was conducted with a Silver & Blue dress code. The afternoon was made amazing with
the beautiful decoration. Décor was completely according to the theme. The enthusiasm of all
circlers was worth noticing.
• 2nd NEX theme was “Jungle Fever, Be Bold and Be Wild.”
Dress code was white. The decor was praise worthy. The
fellowship theme was, ‘Be Wild n Naughty, why should boys
have all the fun?’ We celebrated the time filled with many fun
activities like sundowner, Tharu dance and Night out with 32
girls in the middle of a jungle safari. The Fellowship was a
grand success filled with moments to be cherished by all.
Fund-raising
• Lucky Draw Raffle Ticket Charity Fund-raising Program was the biggest fundraiser in the history of
LCN. We distributed 2,029 Tickets. The total amount raised was NPR Rs. 2,379,000/- (€18,522
Euro) out of which Rs. 2,029,000/- was from tickets and Rs. 350,000/- from sponsorship. It was a
successful event . . .With this money raised we wish to construct the classrooms for Amari
Adharbhut School to help them grow from Primary school to Middle school.
Projects:
• Under our National
Project Choose.
Educate. Inspire.
Choose to give better
Education, we have
decided to construct the
Middle school at a Govt.
school called Amari
School, where the
principal has been
serving for the past 15
years. There’s only room
enough for primary
school currently. They
need some cemented
flooring, some
reconstruction and 3
classrooms to go from
primary to secondary
school.
• A day care facility for the
children suffering from a disability
Cerebral Palsy, wherein they have
this disability by birth and require
a facilitator and physiotherapy.
Currently there are only 5 such
facilities all over Nepal, but we are
planning to build the 6th facility in
Bhairahawa, where there is
currently a need of the same.
Any other Event:
• Hurraayyyyyy!!!!! GREAT NEWS on the way-
The biggest achievement of LCN this term midway is that we were able to form a new circle in
Kathmandu. Now we are a team of seven circles.
Our LCN President attended the extension of Kathmandu circle; we have proposed the joining of
17 prospective circlers to join the Kathmandu Royal Ladies circle. This is a big achievement for
Ladies Circle Nepal.
Vision for 3 Months:
According to our motto for the year, ‘Choose to Shine’
we have a vision for every month, November was
Choose to be Wild & Naughty; December is, Choose
to Give-be kind. We had decided that in the month of
December all the circlers would donate 5 things to the
needy.
We have chosen January as, ‘Choose to be Healthy’, free from all mental illness, February has been
chosen as, ’Choose to Plant a Tree and swatch (Clean) Nepal.’ We wish to celebrate LCI day by the motto
