SCOPE OF WORK & TECIIMCAL SPECIFICATION

2. SCOPE:

The scope of work mainly covers the supply, wiring, laying of U/G cable, provision of 2 no. earthings as perspecification, fitting ofceiling fans, fluorescent tube light fittings and necessary civil works etc.

2.1 GEIIERAL WIRING OF NEW POWER HOUSE

The new casing capping type wiring with Finolex wire and Anchor switch gear shal1 be carried out in LHA quarter andinspection quarter(both are in the same building). The casing capping bpe patti shall be fixed on the wall with brass screwsand in proper lining. Nails should not be used for fixing of casing capping patti, switch boards and other accessories .(Itemspecifi cations as per par a 6.2.4)

2,2 UIG CABLES

The Suitable gauge of copper wires / underground cables, Junction boxgs, Utility points shall be used as per IECstandard. Cable hench should be excavated in all type of soft / hard rock and soil. Sand coushnin g of 2" layer should beprovided before cable laying. Sand spreading of 4" layer should be provided after cable laying. Horizontal brick layershould be provided after sand spreading on U/G cable.

2.3 JUNCTION BOX

The junction box for street light will be dust & water proof and made of FRP as per Indian standards. The wires shouldbe connected to copper lugs ofproper sizes. These will have suitable cable entry points fitted with cable glands.

2,4 CIVILWORKS

The foundation of street lightpole should be of cement concrete is the ratio 1:1.5:3 of size 0.3 x 0.3 x0.3 with plasteringin cement mortar 1:3. and other necessary civil works.

2.5 EARTHING

The equipment, earthing shall be carried out by using copper plate earthing (Copper plate of300 x 300 x 3 mm size,charcoal, salt etc. with adequate length of 2" "C" class G.I.pipe up to bottom of the earth pit for pouring water in the earthpit.) and single piece copper tape (25 x 3 mm) of adequate length and earth pit of minimum 3 mh depth. After completion ofearthing a suitable masonry shuctue should be made for easy pouring of water.

Schedule- IIITERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. The validity ofthe offer should be clearly indicated which however should not be less than 90 days.

2. The taxes should also be mentioned clearly. The GST as applicable should clearly be indicated.

3. The rates offered should be F.O.R. 'Destination' The LighthouseAttendant, Simar Lighthouse,Via-Sankhada-362550,

4. The offer should preferably be sent under Registered post to avoid loss in hansit.

5. The Period of completion of the entire work is 30 days.

6. The quotation/rate shall be submitted as per the enclosed annexure and are required to be sent by post/by hand.

7. Tender Fee and Eamest Money Deposit E.M.D. drawn in favour of "The Director, Directorate of Lighthouses and

Lightships", Jamnagar must be submitted along with the quotation. The quotations which are received without EMD

will be not be considered and heated as cancelled.

8. Quotation received late in this office will not be considered and will be rejected.

9. The Firms are requested to submit the details of their product with supporting leaflets and authorized dealership /OEM

certificate.

10. The guaj:antee or warranty period against manufacturing defects should not be less than a year and should clearly be

indicated in the offer.

11. No advance payment will be made. However, bills for supplies will be paid at the earliest.

12. Earnest Money Deposit E.M.D. will be forfeited in case of your failure to supply as per tems and conditions stipulated.

The E.M.D. would be released soon after satisfactory completion of the work at site.

1 3. In case of any defect found, the firm shall replace the same at free of cost.

14. The price should be inclusive of all govt. taxes.

15. The undersigned reserves the right to accept, reject part or fuI1 any quotation without assigning any reason whatsoever

and incase ofany disputes, the decision ofthe undersigned will be final and binding to all concern.

16. The items are required to be supplied *ith in :Oduy, from the date of issue of suppty order. The Director reserves the

rights to extend the time or cancel the order and to procure from next party according to operational urgency.

17. The quantity of various items in the schedule of work may increase or decrease due to administrative requirements.

Keeping this in view, the bidders should quote the rates.

I 8. In the event of any doubt in the execution of the work either in respect of specifications or for any reason whatsoever the

contractor shall refer the matter to the Director for clarification.

I 9. In case of legal dispute the matters are to be settled in Jamnagar Jurisdiction only.
