From father & son to the leader in SPU Burs!Our story begins with Thom Maass Sr. and Thom Maass Jr. in 1970 looking for a way to get into the dental industry. Their initial product line started with miniature x-ray materials, hence the name Microcopy. After spending years in dentistry (set in the backdrop of the HIV/AIDs epidemic) they noticed a glaring opportunity in the way burs were reused and sterilized multiple times.

The Maass’ sought to revolutionize the dental industry with burs that performed as well as the leading brands while preventing the risk of cross contamination. They were adamant to offer burs at a more economic price that didn’t require the time consuming steps of cleaning and sterilizing. The NeoDiamoND pre-sterilized Single-Patient-Use bur was born! To this day it is still the leading SPU diamond in the dental industry.

Step 1: apply light pressure.

Step 2: apply feather light pressure.

• All Polishers (Recommended Speed) 7,000 rpm.

• Max speed 20,000 rpm.*

• Polishing paste is not required.

• Spray water at least every 10 to 15 seconds to avoid excess heat build-up.

• For single-patient-use.

*Avoid long periods of applied pressure as heat generation can cause damage to the margins. Insufficent water cooling can lead to irreversabile damage to the tooth pulp or its surrounding tissue.
