AN EXHIBITORCASE STUDY

The opportunity to tap into the international decommissioning market prompted global diamond cutting products leader Diaquip to exhibit at SPE Offshore Europe 2015 for the first time. Their experience at the show proved so rewarding in terms of new business leads and brand profile that they were quick to sign up to return in 2017 where they will be showcasing their innovative products and services in the new dedicated Decommissioning Zone – Stand 6A11.

SPE Offshore Europe 2015 was our first foray into the oil and gas industry. The scale of the show and the extraordinary range of companies exhibiting was invaluable for us in terms of market research.

We were able to use the database to source a list of the main global competitors that were also attending, as well as to target organisations we want to work with and used the networking opportunities available to us during the show itself to make those connections.

With a product that was new to many in the energy industry, Diaquip used the exhibitors section of the SPE Offshore Europe website to upload video footage of their products and cutting-edge technology in advance, maximising their profile and generating leads before the show even started.

Hands-on exhibits, specification sheets and rolling video footage of the kit in action helped draw attention to the stand during the week.

Having never attended before we hadn’t fully appreciated just how big SPE Offshore Europe is. It was a very valuable investment for us, generating a significant number of solid business leads which are still reaping results for us today.

Our intention for 2017 is to take advantage of more of the opportunities open to us in terms of the pre-show and onsite promotion, networking and marketing platforms. The inclusion of a dedicated Decommissioning Zone is fantastic as it will channel an even greater number of targeted visitors to our stand and generate even more tangible results.
