The ninth Dubrovnik Inter-national Conference on the Sanskrit Epics and Purāṇas will discuss, as in the previous conferences, many aspects of current research on the San-skrit epics and Purāṇas: critical editing of texts, composition,
literary techniques, history of texts, chronology, intertextual-ity, historical context, religious and mythological contents, re-lationship of texts to the earlier Vedic and later Tantric texts, the contemporary importance of this tradition, etc.

The proceedings of the DICSEP are edited by the International Edi-torial Committee and published by the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
T I M E - T A B L E
The work of the conference will be organized both in sessions for the presentation of papers and in workshops on related topics. The orga-nizers will make every effort to ensure that there will be no parallel sections in order to encourage the fullest participation.
The conference will begin on the morning of Monday, September 21, 2020, and close on Saturday evening September 26. Participants should plan to arrive by the evening of Sunday, September 20, and the departure should be planned not earlier than the following Sun-day morning, September 27. The working hours for the conference are planned from 9 am to 1 pm and from 5 pm to 7 pm, with breaks for coffee on every day except the excursion day. The total time for presentation of a paper is expected to be 30 minutes: 20 minutes for the paper and 10 minutes for discussion. During the conference two business meetings of the International organizing Board will be held over afternoon tea or early evening drinks.

• your proposal for a workshop with names of its conveners or
• your intention to attend the conference as an auditor.

The deadline for the abstracts April 30, 2020
After you have sent us the abstracts of your papers or proposals for workshops, the Board will make the selection and work out the list of the accepted participants with papers, and of the workshops with the names of their conveners, that have been accepted by the Board. You will receive the information about the acceptances by the middle of July.
The registration of auditors does not undergo any selection by the Board.
After we receive your abstracts, we will prepare the final time-table with the abstracts. It will be sent to all the participants by e-mail in advance and you will receive the printed booklet at the conference.

Dubrovnik can be reached by air via Zagreb, by sea from Split or Rije-ka in Croatia or from Bari in Italy, and by land - by bus or car - along the Croatian coast. There is a highway from Zagreb to Čarapine, and beyond this it is under construction (100 km to Dubrovnik).
