Zeit (Time)To tell the time in German is simple:1) Learn the German numbers from 1-59. 2)An hour is divided up into quarters - viertel and halves - halb 3)For "half past," you say halb and the next hour. E.g.-Halb acht = 7:30 , Halb eins = 12:304)After or past is nach. Es ist zehn nach zwei = 2:10 For quarter past, you say Viertel nach: Viertel nach neun = 9:15. 5)To or before is vor (pron. FOR). Viertel vor zwei = 1:456)English o'clock is Uhr in German. "Es ist fünf Uhr" = 5:00 (five o'clock).

Now try and answer these questions, with your partner:

1) What will the time be in 6 hours, 2 hours, 90 minutes and in 248 minutes

2) Now try and say what the time would have been 6 hours ago, 2 hours ago ,, ,,

3) Tell you are partner your favourite part of the day (assuming you’re normal)
