This is an extreme close up as only the eyes are showing with the top of the nose. We edited his face into the centre of the frame using the technique of prevalence. His eyes are not directly looking at the audience which adds enigma coding to the shot and makes them question what emotions he is feeling and what they should be feeling at that particular time.

Production logo

Our logo is a firefly trapped in a jar with our production name next to it. The colours are bright and add a mysterious feel to our film with a romantic edge. The colours are quite girly with pinks and purples however we have also incorporated greens and blues to appeal to a wider gender area. It is a metaphor for our audience being enticed to our film and being controlled by our emotional scenes and the feeling of being trapped by our control.

Mid shot/ focus shot

A mid shot allows the audience to see more of the scene and the impact that character that is centre shot has on the rest of the scene. In this particular shot James is centre frame and seems to be concentrating on anything but his work. As we can see the people behind him are intrigued in their work and therefore we see the contrast of emotions from the main character to everyone else in the scene. The editing has made this shot warmer instead of the light lighting used in the unedited version.

Long shot

A long shot is typically used to show a particular mis en scene of a scene and to grasp the factors such as weather, location, mood etc. We use some long shots to highlight ,at this point, Lucas sad emotion as Emily has left after her accident. The weather is dull and the path is empty showing his now lonely life.
