Conventions of a Digi pack

A digipak is the packaging for CD's and DVD's, it is usually made out of cupboard for long lasting life. The digipak has 4 sides – a front, back, insert and CD holder.

The most effective way of building an artists image is creating a house style to the album. We can use images of the artist and objects that symbolizes them and reflects the idea of the albums name.

Depending on what kind of genre the artist is the CD cover changes to either a plain house colour or lots of images.

For our album cover we must ensure that all these aspects are covered to ensure professionalism and to fit into the genre of the artist. We looked at similar artists to see similarity's to build the brand image and identity.

I named my album ‘All things go’ as my album is emotional but happy too and this name could mean a mixture of good yet bad.

It is very important for a artist to brand their image well. With Nicki Minaj she is very popular woman rapper, her album ‘pink Friday’ set up for her brand image.

Nicki has brought out many products for example a line of purfume like below. This matched the album as it was called ‘pink Friday’ and used the same colour scheme as the album.

All of Nicki Minaj’s products are pink, for example the beats headphones, Mac line of pink lipstick. Her website is called ‘my pink Friday’ and has the same colour scheme as the album.

Ensuring all advertisement is similar it creates a brand image which makes it recognizable when you think of the artist.
