WHAT IS WORKIT HEALTH?

RECOVERY MISCONCEPTIONS

Recover From Home

Members may believe they need to go to an inpatient facility to

access treatment, but recovery from home is possible.

Avoid Withdrawal

Members may be extremely anxious about withdrawal, but

FDA-approved medications can help avoid discomfort.

Set Goals

Members may believe complete abstinence is the only objective, but all participants self-set their

recovery goals.

Workit clinicians primarily prescribe Suboxone (buprenorphine-nx).

Individuals who are tapering off methadone must be down to a 30g dose before starting with Workit.

Drug testing is conducted remotely in a video-monitored environment.

TeleMAT for Opioid Use Disorder

Inclusion Criteria Exclusion Criteria● Open to using buprenorphine containing medications for MAT

● Meets diagnosis criteria for opiate use disorder

● Is comfortable with an at home induction to begin

buprenorphine

● Those that are currently on methadone and would like to

transition to buprenorphine and have been on a dose of 30

mg or below for at least 1-2 weeks

● Those currently on buprenorphine and wish to transfer their

care to our clinic

● Unable to access technology (phone/computer)

● Methadone dose greater than 30 mg/day

● Continuing to fill prescriptions for large amounts of

benzodiazepines or opioids

● Unable or unwilling to drug test before appointment

● Seeking buprenorphine for chronic pain management

● Unwilling to participate in counseling

TeleMAT of Opioid Use Disorder

Workit offers at-home taper for members interested in abstinence.

Workit clinicians can prescribe oral Naltrexone or acamprosate.

Members can select a recovery goal of abstinence or moderation (the Sinclair Method).

TeleMAT for Alcohol Use Disorder

Inclusion Criteria Exclusion Criteria● Can manage withdrawal symptoms at home

● Interest in either moderation or abstinence from alcohol● Prior history of DT’s or alcohol withdrawal seizures

● Many past attempts with alcohol withdrawal/detox

● Daily use of >100 mg of alcohol (standard drink is ~14g),

so >7 drinks/day

● Requires benzodiazepine for withdrawal symptom

management

● Advanced liver disease or older patients with a complex

cardiac history

TeleMAT of Alcohol Use Disorder

Individuals with OUD or AUD who would benefit from FDA-approved medication and counseling, and have:

- A photo ID- Access to a smartphone or computer

Workit is good for people who:

- Aren’t interested in traditional treatment or have tried it unsuccessfully

- Are especially concerned about privacy- Face barriers to care (lack of transportation

or childcare)

Who is a goodfit for Workit?

Individuals:

- Without OUD or AUD in need of other behavioral health care (i.e. standalone anxiety or depression).

- Without the ability to access Workit’s digital program via phone or computer.
