CAPACITOR BANK CONTROL OPERATIONControl ParameterDependingonthecontrolmodeofoperation, thecontrolparametercanbeeithervoltage,VArsorcurrent.ForexamplethecontrolVoltageisthemeasurementusedinthecontrolalgorithmtomaketheloadvoltageregulationdecision.Thecontrolparametershallbeuserselectable.

Thethreeuserselectableuseroptionsshallbe:

• Maximum/MinimumofThreePhase–(Future)

Single Phase SelectionThisoptionwillallowtheusertochoosewhichphaseA,BorCisusedasthecontrollingparameter.Oncethisisselected,thecontrolwillusethatphasevalueinClassicvoltagecontrolmodeorAutoAdaptivemodetomakedecisiononhowtoregulatetheloadvoltage.TheoptionisvalidforallthreemethodsofcontrolnamelyVoltage,VArsandCurrent.

Three Phase Average/TotalThisoptionwillaveragethevalueofallthreephasequantitiesandthisaveragewillbeusedtomakethecontroldecision.TheoptionisvalidforallthreemethodsofcontrolVoltage,VArsandCurrent.ItisimportanttonotethatwheninthecontrolisusingVArControl,theaveragingisreplacedbythetotalsumoftheVArsofallthreephases.

InadditionwhentheoptionisselectedtheCTMultiplier isassumedtobeequal.InControlModeLimitsthemaximumandminimumofthe3phasesisusedtoevaluatewhetherthevoltageisviolatingtheuserassignedlimits.
