AMICAL Institutions with Publicly-Accessible Digital Collections
Notes: Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane is using the OPAC (not an Open Access Repository system) to store and disseminate their collections. The American University in Bulgaria has a collection of learning materials stored in their Learning Management System (LMS) and has a collection of student ETDs that will be available in September 2015. Forman Christian College has a collection in ContentDM but it is not yet publicly available.
This poster presents an overview of the current state of digital collections and repositories related to teaching, learning and scholarship at AMICAL institutions and highlights specific needs at member institutions related to digital collections and repositories that AMICAL will be well-positioned to address in the coming years. The emphasis is on publicly-accessible collections (and not collections restricted to campus users).
Data presented here represents results from a survey conducted in March – April 2015 and highlights some of the digital collections created at member institutions. The survey was sponsored by the AMICAL Committee for Digital Collections Planning.

But not all AMICAL institutions are using repository platforms to store and disseminate their collections:
Institutions are using their OPACs, ebrary’sDASH, or posting to a publicly-accessible website instead of using an OA repository. 4
