Why BYOD?

Quincy Public Schools is implementing Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) which allows students, with parental permission, to bring internet ready devices to school to enhance the educational process.

The District is evaluating BYOD as a means to allow more students access to technology in the classroom. Benefits BYOD include:

•Students are more engaged in the learning process.•Students have more opportunities to personalize learning.•Students are better prepared for the workplace and post-secondary education.•Students can learn at their own pace in the manner that best suits their learning styles•More students have access than when relying strictly on district owned devices.

Quincy Public SchoolsAcceptable Use Policy

The Quincy Public Schools Acceptable Use Policy, also known as the AUP, is a list of things you should and should not do with your device

and the Internet.

Your Digital Driver’s License, also referred to as DDL, will review the AUP then ask you questions about what you have read.

**Reminder: Please make sure a parent is helping you complete your DDL**
