Congratulations to our winners in the Ocean/

Monmouth County Children's Dental Health

"Sugar Wars" Poster Contest. North Dover Ele-

mentary had one student place second in the con-

test and six students who were recognized as Hon-

orable Mention Prize winners. We are very proud

of all our students for the great job they did!

On February 17th North Dover students participat-

ed in Digital Learning Day. Students in Mrs. Wep-

precht-Smith’s class (top photo) used QR code

cubes to roll a writing prompt. Students rolled the

cube, scanned it on their Chrome Book and com-

pleted the writing assignment using Google Docs.

Fourth Graders in Mr. Rielly’s class learned about

weather using Google Classroom. The activity was

completed by students sharing and collaborating

with a partner using Google Docs.

Book Fair

We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to our PTO and the volunteers who helped to make our

Groovy Book Fair an amazing success! The Media Center was transformed into a 70’s themed throw-back

full of peace and love, and it looked beautiful! We appreciate your hard work! Our Pirates had a great time

playing the game show of Mr. Eric’s Brain Wash- and it looked like the parents did too at Family Fun

Night! We continue to be appreciative of all your support!

Bingo Night

Thank you to those who attended BINGO Night! It was so much fun for the kids! Special thanks to our

PTO for organizing the event and to Gus Kakavas for his stellar Bingo announcing skills and DeeJay fun!

Mr. Hager and Mr. DeRiggi, our Phys. Ed. teachers,

organized the Grade 5 “Hoops for Heart” and Grade

3 “Jump for Heart” fundraisers for the American

Heart Association.. Our students completed many

activities to help make their hearts healthy and

strong. The money they raised will be used to fund

research and education for the treatment and preven-

tion of heart disease. Thanks to all who collected

donations. You did an outstanding job!

American Heart Association Fundraiser Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Ms. Manna, North Dover Ele-

mentary School’s Teacher of the Year. We would

also like to congratulate Mrs. Bocchino, North Do-

ver Elementary School’s Educational Services Pro-

fessional of the Year. Thank you for all that you do

for our students!
