Initial inspiration

Throughout various classes taken at JWU we noticed that regardless of what technological devices people brought to class they were still using a paper planner to record assignments.

Page 3: Digital vs Analog

Hypothesis

There is a relationship between students using analog options to record their schedules and their ability to trust in existing technologies designed for scheduling.

Potential Opportunity

opportunity for an outside company to create an online organizer or calendar application that is tailored to the needs of students at Johnson and Wales. By creating this calendar and becoming affiliated with Johnson and Wales, this company has the potential to expand their client base, start new relationships with users and fulfill a need.

Cross Tabulations

While students bring Electronic Device to class they choose to use analogue agendas

Cross Tabulations continued

Based on how many hours worked is there a difference in technological choice

Results and recommendations

Our hypothesis is correct It would not be beneficial to create a digital calendar as students

would still use their analog ones. Since a majority of respondents to the survey were upperclassmen in

the college of business we may want to repeat study on lower classmen only to determine if the upcoming classes have the same attitudes

Perform the survey in schools beyond college of business to see if there are differences.

Create a line of agendas ( or add to existing line) to sell in the bookstore.
