Published by
The Annual Staff
of Westfield High School
Westfield, North Carolina
We, the Senior Class of Westfield High
School, dedicate this edition of Fie Id-Airs
to:
Firstly; our parents from whom our
first and lasting education came.
Secondly; our teachers,who have been
guides, as well as sources of inspiration
to all of those whom they have taught.
Thirdly; the community that has in¬
fluenced our behavior with customs and
traditions that will follow throughout our
lives.
In recognition of these, we proudly
dedicate this 1957 edition of Field-Airs.

Principal’s Message
Students,
In the future, each time you look through your yearbook, you will
remember that your school was a place where the life of courtesy, of
refinement, of integrity, and of mutual happiness was lived.
I am proud to be a part of the many facets of your education which
gives me confidence that you will live a full, satisfying personal life,
and be a competent citizen in your community, state, and nation.

Class Prophecy
Willa Dean Inman, wife of the head coach at State was glancing
over the evening paper reviewing her husbands team standing when she
caught sight of the winner in the Daytona Beach "Flying Mile." It was
Bobby Lambert, one of her fellow students driving a Chevrolet.
Then smiling she wondered what had happened to the other fifteen
Seniors of '57. She wondered how she could manage to find out. As
she fumbled through the yellow pages of the telephone book, she saw
that Christine Cooke had become an F.B.I. agent. Here was her help.
She called and together they found that Sammy Rogers had inherited a
couple of million and was really living it up in Florida with his beauti¬
ful wife. Anne Jessup, it seemed had married the owner of King Ken¬
nel and she was a receptionist in the Reynolds Building in Winston
Salem. Marie Slate, her next door neighbor was married to a grey¬
hound driver and had three adorable children. R. T. Hunter was still
playing Romeo in a new Chevrolet while teaching at Salem (A
womans college),Billy Martin and Teddy Cox were in service for their
country. Both admirals in the Navy. Pat Sheppard was married to the
editor of Life Magazine and was doing some bit writing herself on hair
designing. Norma Jean Cooke had married the owner of Millers and
Adams Hosiery Mill in High Point and mother of two children. Geral¬
dine Love lived near her and had married the manager of the same
company. Curtis Mills was playing bit parts on the Robert Cummings
show.
They had a hard time locating Eva Jane Simmons. She was married
to a foreign Prince and living in Singapore. Nora Stephens was in the
foothills of Virginia painting the rolling hills. Her work had already
netted her a cool thousand. Bonnie Collins had met a Captain while
serving in the Waves. They were married and living on base where her
husband planned a career. She was studying science in her spare time.
Planning to invent a new button controlled house cleaner. Harold
Hunter is just finishing training in Alabama to become a veterinarian.
He was engaged to the winner of the Miss Mount Airy beauty contest.
