SEMESTER BRANCH TRAINING DETAILS
Students of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering sixth semester made a GO KART which is powered by a 127 cc, 4-stroke, single cylinder, petrol engine which produces a maximum power of 3.5 BHP at 3300 RPM. The engine is coupled with a CVT gear box which provides effort less smooth driving without worrying about changing of gears. The vehicle is equipped with hydraulic disc braking system which provides excellent braking torque to control the vehicle while driving.
One Kw Electricity Generation by Using Solar Power
Go Kart Vehicle
A major project was prepared by students of department of electrical and electronics branch, sixth semester. In this project, students had designed and crafted themselves an inverter which utilizes solar energy for its operation First the solar panel converts the sunlight into DC Electricity. A regulator regulates the flow of DC Power to battery bank where the DC power is stored. Finally inverter changes battery power into 220V AC which is used by electrical appliances as fan, tube light, computer of principal’s cabin and a faculty cubicle.
The Aero modelling is science related to the design, construction and flying of model aeroplanes, helicopters and rockets. It is both a hobby and an international sport. It helps to understand Physics, improve hand and eye coordination, understand the importance of team work, learn to cope with success and failure, create 3D objects, learn to work with plans, use hand tools etc. A team of diploma students ‘AERONAUTICA’ has designed a plane which is capable of taking a flight up to a height of 300 metres.
Workshop on PLC, SCADA & HMI (March 07- 10, 2019)
Seminar on Smart City (March 11, 2019)
Students learned about PLC Basic Introduction, Input/Output Modules, Safety Circuit, PLC Processors, Numbering Systems & Codes, Basic PLC Programming, Timer Instructions, Counter Instructions, Program Control Instructions, Analog Inputs & Outputs , Networks , Human Machine Interfaces & Troubleshooting PLCs. Students also got training in Introduction
Smart city engineer Mr. Rishabh Chohan (alumni of TIT & S) gave a presentation on smart city project. He explained the objectives of smart city project like improving the governance of the city, increasing dependency on online services to bring accountability and transparency, improving the infrastructure and services as well as basic sanitation facilities.
A three days Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp was organized for the diploma students in association with the Govt. of India. Camp has given a detailed idea and constructive knowledge of becoming an entrepreneur. The eminent speakers discussed various issues like the importance of this awareness camp, details of the currently available startup schemes, the reasons and requirements for being a good entrepreneur, possibilities of entrepreneurship opportunities in medicinal plants and agriculture, marketing principles and various loan facilities.
The Army personels acquainted students with the profile of the working culture in the army and the lives of the army man. They generated enthusiasm in students for joining army by delivering the motivational speeches. They also explained the recruitment procedure of the army.
Crompton Greaves Ltd. – Transformer Division (March 13, 2019)
Bend Joints Pvt. Ltd. (April 10, 2019)
Ajanta Electric Industries Ltd. (April 11, 2019)
Crisp - Center For Research And Industrial Staff Performance (Nov 2, 2017)
Students learnt about the control panel design & manufacturing, electrical installation and servicing , the branded switchgears like L&T, Siemens, Havells etc, operation of automatic machines like plasma cutter and CNC welding & powder coating process.
Student got the practical knowledge of windings, baking, insulation, assembly, copper plating, testing of power & distribution transformer up to 500 MVA.
The company is equipped with the leading-edge machinery and testing facilities. Students learnt the design and manufacturing of high pressure boiler tubes which are used in the thermal power plants located at gulf countries. Company provided the live demonstration of various tests performed over there.
