The Primer for Nursing Home Medicine is designed to help build a solidfoundation of knowledge of both administrative and clinical management topicsThe course provides concise, practical information regarding the more uniqueaspects of health care in this setting. The course addresses important topic areasincluding: Practice Management, Communication and Risk Management,Continuing Quality Improvement, Palliative Care and Geriatric Psychiatry.

Core Curriculum on Medical Direction in Long Term CareOctober 23-29, 2005 Lake Lanier Islands, GeorgiaPart I October 23-25, 2005 (Part I is a pre-requisite to Part II)Part II October 26-29, 2005

The goal of this comprehensive course is to create a stronger sense of theleadership role of the medical director and to provide opportunities to honeskills and interact with peers.

Medical directors practicing in any setting or combination of settings across thelong term care continuum, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living,CCRCs, hospice, and home care are encouraged to attend. Geriatric fellows intraining who are considering the inclusion of medical direction in their practicesare also encouraged to attend.

Advanced Course on Clinical Management and Medical Directionin Long Term CareOctober 26-29, 2005 Lake Lanier Islands, Georgia

AMDA is proud to announce the 2005 Advanced Course on ClinicalManagement and Medical Direction in Long Term Care. The Advanced Coursewill meet the needs of experienced medical directors, CMDs, and attendingphysicians in any setting or combination of settings across the long term carecontinuum, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, CCRCs, hospice,and home care. The Conference offer up to 46 hours of CME and CMD credit.
