• Hire and sale of mobility equipment and daily living aids at not-for-profit prices. Simply call for home deliveries in Invercargill.
• Help station and advocacy – we’ll help you fill in application forms and find solutions.
• Hospital courtesy van service; arriving at Southland Hospital 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm each week day (last pick up 4pm). Please call 214 5000 to make your booking at least 24 hours in advance ($5 donations appreciated).
• Total Mobility Scheme; a subsidised taxi fare opportunity. Anyone with limited mobility who is unable to drive or catch a bus is eligible for Invercargill City Council’s half-price taxi fare scheme. As a Total Mobility agency, DRC Southland carries out assessments and annual administration on behalf of the council.
• Handrail installations, by our friendly technician Ron.
• Meeting room for community groups.

DRC Southland sells a wide variety of walkers at not-for-profit prices – there’s something to suit everyone!
• Walkers with push-down brakes
• Petite walkers – for those who are smaller
• Tri-walkers – super easy to fold down and store in a car
• Wheelchair walkers – with fold-down foot plates, for when it’s time to take a break from walking and be pushed instead
• Gutterframe walkers – lean on your elbows for extra support
• Sporty Spry walkers – with large all-terrain wheels, for going anywhere at all!
Our walking sticks, from $20, come in a variety of colours, patterns and functions. We also sell a wide range of accessories.
We sell an ultra-light, affordable and manual wheelchair. The back folds down, wheels pop off and the adjustable foot rests are removeable, so it is super easy to transport in a car. It is available in two seat widths; 43cm and 46cm.
