Central Coast Council’s plan
We have a Disability Inclusion Action Plan.
We call it a plan.
The plan goes from 2017 to 2021.
The plan is to give more opportunities to
people with a disability.
Opportunities are when you get the chance to
do something.
Page 4
The community gave us feedback to help
make the plan.
Feedback is when you tell us what you think.
You told us we do some things well.
For example
● we have things to make the beach and
playground easy to use
● we have someone who helps make things
easier for people with a disability
● people with a disability work for us.
You told us there are things we can do better.
For example
● help more people learn about disability
● make events and places easier to get to
● give information in different ways.
put these 3 in a circle or grid
Page 5
There are 4 areas in the plan.
● Attitude and behaviour.
Make the community better to people with
a disability.
● Liveable communities.
Make it easier to join in activities
and events.
● Employment.
Make more opportunities to get work.
● Systems and processes.
Make it easier to get information and go
to places.
There is work to do in each area.
