The four term Standard program offers is the flagship foundation program at ANUC. It provides the best opportunity for students to study diverse core and elective courses and obtain a competitive GPA entry score for ANU. This foundation course also maximises student opportunity to meet pre-requisite course criteria for multiple ANU programs and achieve the high pathway English hurdle requirement prior to commencing at ANU.
The three term Rapid program is better suited to students who are confident in completing the foundation program requirements in a shorter time frame. This program provides students with the opportunity to add an additional elective to their studies and complete the program over three terms rather than the four terms of the Standard Program. It is advisable that students selecting this program are confident English speakers, able to excel under pressure with diverse assessment tasks such as critical analysis and oral presentations.
The Extended program is for students who require a little more academic and English language preparation before commencing their tertiary level studies.
The extended program has a 5 week intensive study period, focusing on English preparation (four subjects) and students undertake a cultural immersion preparation program at the beginning of their studies. Foundation extended provides opportunity for students to enhance their study and language skills and cultural awareness through five weeks of practical and focused courses and a study tour experience to Sydney or the Illawarra region.
