Your new earpiece perorms best when ully

charged. While your earpiece is charging, the

indicator light slowly fashes red. When your

earpiece is ully charged, the indicator light turns o.

This applies to all charging options.

Never charge the battery where the temperature

may all below 0C (32F) or rise above 40C

(104F). Do not use your earpiece while it is

connected to the charger.

Opion A: Using he AC Charger

1 Plug the AC charger into a power outlet.

2 Connect the AC charger to the charging

jack on the earpiece.

1 Open the cover o the case. Align thecharging jack on the earpiece with the

micro USB connection in the case.

2 Gently push the earpiece onto the micro

USB connection until you eel it click into

place.

3 Once charged, gently press the ejectionbutton with your thumb to release the

earpiece.

Checking he Baery Level of Your Earpiece

Option A: The LCD display on the chargingcase will indicate battery level o the earpiece

when earpiece is inserted into case.

NOtEThe Bluetooth icon on the case indicates

the earpiece is connected to your phone. You can

receive calls when charging.

Option B: With the earpiece powered on,

simultaneously press and hold the call control

button and the volume button or about 2

seconds. The indicator light lashes red to show

the charge level.

Recharging Your Charging Case

Recharging he Baery Inside he Case

The charging case provides two ull charges toyour earpiece beore the battery within the case

requires recharging.

1 To check the battery status o the case,

reer to the LCD display.

I the battery icon is ashing, or the display is

blank, you have to recharge the case beore

you can use it to charge your earpiece.

2 Plug the AC charger to power source

beore connecting to the charging jack on

the side o the case.

While the case is recharging, the LCD battery

icon (above the case image) ashes to indicate

charge level.

How o Pair Your Phone wih Your Earpiece

for he Firs time

1 Turn on the Bluetooth feature on your phone.

2 Turn the earpiece on.

Press and hold the call control button until the

indicator ashes red/white.

3 Use the commands on your phone to

locate and select your earpiece.

9xxPlantronics.

4 I prompted or the PIN code or Passkey,

enter 0000.

Pairing is successul when the indicator on

your earpiece ashes white.

NOtEI your phone supports Secure Simple

Pairing (SSP), you will not need to enter a PINcode or Passkey.

Plantronics Discovery 975 supports multipoint

technology, which allows you to use one earpiece

with two dierent Bluetooth mobile phones.

How o turn he Mulipoin Feaure On and Off

To use more than one phone, you must turn the

multipoint eature on. When this eature is o, your

earpiece can connect to only one Bluetooth phone.

1 With your earpiece turned o, press and

hold the volume and call control buttons

simultaneously until earpiece turns on

and indicator ashes white 2 times.

2 To pair earpiece to a second phone, see

Pairing Your Earpiece on page 7.

NOtETo turn the multipoint eature o, repeat

step 1. The indicator ashes white 1 time to

indicate multipoint is o.

How o Iniiae a Call

The earpiece initiates or redials a call on the phonethat most recently made an outgoing call. To use the

second phone, initiate the call using the controls on

the second phone.

How o Answer a Call While talking on he

Oher Phone

To answer the second call, the frst call must be

terminated or placed on hold using the phone, i

your phone has a hold eature.

1 Tap the call control button once to hang up

the existing call.

2 Tap the call control button again to

answer the new call rom the other phone.

Using More Than One Bluetooth Phone

For optimal voice clarity, point the boom towards

the corner o your mouth. The eartip can also

be rotated on speaker housing to better ft the

contours o your ear. I the earpiece still eels

unstable, then change the eartip to a dierent size.

How o Insall a Differen Gel Earip

1 To remove the eartip, gently pull the

stabilizer loop o eartip o o the speakerhousing.

2 To ft a new eartip, position the eartip over

the speaker housing and gently press

down on the eartip.

My earpiece

does not workwith my phone.

Make sure the earpiece is ully charged.

Make sure you are trying to pair to a Bluetooth enabled phone.

My phone did not

locate the earpiece.

Turn both your phone and earpiece o and on, and then repeat the pairing process on

page 7.

I cannot hear

caller/dial tone.

The earpiece is not turned on. Press the call control button or approximately 2 seconds

until you hear a tone or see the indicator glow white.Your earpiece is out o range. Move the earpiece closer to the Bluetooth phone. See

Range on page 13.

Your earpiece battery is drained. Charge your battery. See Charging Your Earpiece on page 4.

The listening volume is too low. Incremental tapping o the volume button will adjust

volume. See instructions or adjusting the volume in Earpiece Controls on page 11.

Callers cannothear me.

Your earpiece is out o range. Move the earpiece closer to the Bluetooth phone. SeeRange on page 13.

Check that you have not activated the Mute eature. See Earpiece Controls on page 11.
