Evolution Solutions

GE Evolution technology can determine the distance of a point source and apply a resolution recovery algorithm that compensates for this distance to provide aclearer image.Evolution Solutions enable up to 50% injected dose reduction compared to standard protocols with the same imagequality, by presenting the finest structuresin the image.

The BrightSpeed Elite 16-slice CT embeddedon the Discovery NM/CT 670 is a fully functional premium diagnostic CT. With0.625 mm per slice and 20 mm detectorwidth, it can reveal the finest anatomic details more efficiently and help localize disorders more precisely. The short geometrydesign of the BrightSpeed Elite system enables equivalent Imaging flux comparedto a system with a longer geometry and higher generator power.

In addition, 2D and 3D Dose Modulation adjusts the mA according to the anatomybeing imaged, allowing for significant dosereduction.

IQE Pitch Booster

Cover more anatomy with the same imagequality with Pitch Booster IQ Enhance. This technology may improve image qualityby reducing windmill artifact in thin-slicescanning, allowing faster pitch scan coveringmore anatomy at the same image quality.This coverage speed is equivalent to that ofwider detectors at the same table speed.

GE Healthcare offers an industry-provenadaptive statistical iterative reconstructionthat may deliver noise performance (pixelstandard deviation) equivalent to an acquisition with higher generator powerand may allow for scanning at lower mA and less anode heat, thereby reducing tubecooling limitations.With our exclusive ASiR technology, Discovery NM/CT 670 may enable reductionin pixel noise standard deviation and mayallow for reduced mA in the acquisition ofimages, thereby reducing the dose required.ASiR technology may also enable improvementin low contrast detectability.
