SaFETY OF iNTERNATIONAL TOURIST AT JAIPUR ZONE

RATIONALE

Safety work as a backbone for the growth of tourism to any destination in compraision with the other component of tourism at the destination.

Rationale for this investigation is to understand that the extent to which safety of international tourist in Jaipur region.

OBJECTIVES

1.To know how much Jaipur is a safe destination

as per tourist who arrived in Jaipur region.

2.To study the international tourist behavior towards

their safety.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

• Research design: Descriptive research is used.• Sampling technique: Random sampling• Sources of data: Primary and secondary data.• Sample size: 5O tourist from 11 countries• Instruments: 7 point scale measuring behaviorial

views towards security with other components.• Data analyzied and shown with the graphs, pie-charts

and reliability analysis is done.

LIMITATION

• The time span provided was not enough to do the depth study of the topic.

• The sample size is small so it cannot be applied to universe.

• The study consists of fewer parameters as there can be many parameters that may have affected the research in one or the other way but were neglected.

ANALYSIS OF DATA

Sample description: A set of questionnaire were formed which is filled by only international tourist.

Out of 50 tourist 26 were female while 24 were male.

Out of 50 tourists they were from 11 different countries.

• The hypothesis that was formed in the beginning of the study is as follows:

• H0: There is no requirement for the improvement in safety at deastination.

• HA: There is a requirement for the improvement in safety at deastination.

• From the above pie-chart it can interpreted that among 50 visitors, that 22 visitors wants improvement in safety at destination in compression of other components 13 for tourist sites, 6 for restoration facilities, 5 for transportation, 3 for cuisine and I 1 visitor wants improvement in accommodation.

FINDINGS• The tourist offices itself are not connected with each other and

so far there is no cooperation among them. • Cases of frauds and theft occurred occasionally with tourist

while their visit to destination.• There is no association so far that acts for tourist benefit.• The tourist information centres were influenced and funded by

the local authorities mainly; the tourism industry is nearly not involved.

• There are many national regulations / laws in RAJASTHAN but local authorities don't know how to implement those laws at destination.

• It seems that these regulations do not support the possibilities for the needed changes.

RECOMMENDATION

Specific activities could be developed which may lead to greater achievement in safety process at the destination.

Efforts should be made to increase the safety levels.

Awareness should be created in local people about the need of tourism and how it helpful for their growth.

CONCLUSION

It can be concluded safety of international tourist is very important for a destination like Jaipur, because tourism is the source of developing destination economy very fast also it generates job directly as well as indirectly. Ministry of Tourism must start taking steps to functions the Tourist offices systematically to meet the tourist demand making them satisfy from all the various factor and readily available a) Accommodation (b) Accessibility (c) Guidance (d) Ensuring safety and security (e) Travel documents (f) Developing Infrastructure.

KEY LEARNINGS

• Safety plays major role for tourists at a destination.• One can learn various skills through participating in

such activities.• Scenario of selection of destination changes now a

days tourists like to travel those places which are more safe.
