INTRODUCTION
From October 24 to November 5, 1985, a total of 23 reverse circulation overburden holes were drilled on Noranda Exploration Co. Ltd. property in Ogden Township
(Figure 1). The 23 holes were drilled to test soil geochem
anomalies, previous reverse circulation, heavy mineral concentration anomalies and reconnaissance.
The drilling was contracted to Bradley Bros. Drilling Ltd. of Timmins. The total footage in 23 holes
was 2144 feet with an average depth of 93.2 feet.
Samples were collected over regular intervals in
each hole. Samples of till or gravel were sent to Overhurrlpn
Drilling Management for heavy mineral concentration. The
heavy mineral concentrates were assayed for selected precious
metal content. Bedrock chips were also assayed for selected
precious metals.
LOCATION AND ACCESS
The Noranda Exploration Co. Ltd. property covered
in this report covers large areas in the northern and western
halves of Ogden Township, Porcupine Mining Division, District
of Cochrane (Figure 2). Ogden Township is within the city
limits of Timmins and lies just south of the center of the
old City of Timmins.
Access to the properties is very good with roads leading west off Pine Street South to the northeastern and

central parts of the property. Dalton Road provides
access to the northwestern and western portions of the
property.
DRILL PROGRAM
The 23 holes are numbered from OG-327 to OG-349
consecutively (Map 1). The first three holes (OG-327 to
OG-329 inclusive) were drilled to test a soil geochemical
anomaly on a group of seven contiguous unpatented mining
claims in northeastern Ogden Township. Holes OG-330 to
OG-339 were drilled in a fence along the southern boundary
of the DeSantis property in central Ogden Township. Holes
06-340 to OG-349 inclusive were drilled on unpatented mining
claims in northwestern Ogden Township.

as follows:

The best daily drilling rate was 379' with an average daily rate of 214.4'. The average footage per bit was 268 feet.
All holes reached bedrock with two holes, OG-J2/ and 345, not obtaining any till. Generally the area is covered by a couple of feet of organic material overlying a gray clay unit varying from 10 feet to 82 feet in thick ness. The upper 6 to 10 feet of clay is oxidized to a red brown color. This gray clay is in places overlain by a gray sand,containing some clay,that is from 10 to 18 feet thick. This upper gray sand occurs in holes OG-330 and 331. The gray clay is underlain by varying thicknesses of gray sand to silt.
The till in the area generally contains a large percentage of gray clay as a matrix material. The basal till is rich in clay with pebble tills intercalated in the strati graphy near the upper contacts with gray sand and clay. The till thicknesses varied from O to 87 feet in thickness with an average of 33.8 feet.

REVERSE CIRCULATION DRILLING METHODS

REVERSE CIRCULATION OVERBURDEN DRILLING
The drilling equipment utilized consisted of a hydraulic drill mounted on a muskeg tractor. Water re quired for drilling was supplied by a Muskeg tractor equipped with a 1000 gal. water tank. Sample return is achieved by forcing water and, if necessary, compressed air down the outer wall of a 7 cm dia., 3 meter long dual- tube drill rod to a tricone bit, rock cuttings and overburden material is forced up the center of the rods to a cyclone collector where return is screened, logged and sampled. A 10 mesh Tyler screen is used to separate coarse rock chips or pebbles during the logging process. Approximately 2 51 of the coarse chops are returned to the bucket, the remainder is discarded. Any clay encountered is usually discarded. Samples are collected at intervals o f l to 2 meters depending on material encountered. All samples other than clay are kept, with generally only the coarse gravel/till units sent for processing. A skematic illustration of the drilling method is given in Figure 2 .

LABORATORY PROCESSING OF SAMPLES
All tills/gravels are sent to Overburden Drill Management for processing. At the lab, samples are passed through a 10 mesh screen, the -10 mesh fraction is then passed over a shaking table where a gold grain count is made and a liberal portion of the heavy minerals are separated for heavy liquid separation using Methylene Iodide SG 3.3. The ^SG 3.3 is dried, the magnetic portion is separated and d 3 /4 split of the remaining material is sent for assay. A portion of the bedrock chips are sent directly to an assay lab for an Au, Ag assay.

Please find enclosed the laboratory sample logs for the sample series OG-85-328-01 to OG-85-331-16. The 3/4 split of the non-magnetic heavy mineral concentrate for this series
was forwarded to Bondar-Clegg and Company for analysis on January 10, 1986.
Due to space restrictions we are now only able to store the remaining fractions for a period of 6 weeks. At which time we will return or dispose of the fractions as per your instructions.
The laboratory sample logs are in a new format as produced by our micro computer. To assist you, some of the new features are listed below:
- a "CONC. TOTAL" column, the sum of the NON-MAG and MAG
- a "NO. V.G." column, the number of visible gold grains
- a "CALC. PPB" column, the calculated ppb based on visible gold. Determined by a formula developed by Overburden Drilling
- a new format for the description of clasts and matr i x.
- separate log for visible gold from shakingtable and panning. V.G. is listed by size andshape along with calculated ppb.

We have not received the data and naps (1n duplicate) for the Overburden Drilling on the above-mentioned claims.
As the assessment Report of Work was recorded by the Mining Recorder on December 10, 1986 the 60 day period allowed by Section 77 of the Mining Act for the submission of the technical reports and maps to this office will expire on February 8, 1987.
If the material Is not submitted to this office by February 8, 1987 we will have no alternative but to Instruct the Mining Recorder to delete the work credits from the claim record sheets.
