ROV HOT STAB

An integrated Hydraulic Cylinder, operated by ROV Hot Stab

HARD PIPED

An integrated Hydraulic Cylinder, hard piped to an external location (subsea or topside). Can include subsea ball valve to also allow ROV hot stab connection

REMOVABLE CYLINDER

A removable Hydraulic Cylinder, operated by ROV and stored topside to extend service life.

END FITTING RELEASE SYSTEMSAutomatic End Fitting Release System

Patented system uses an FES End Fitting Adaptor, attached to the back of the End Fitting, to provide interventionless installation of the DBSC Male into the DBSC Female, and interventionless release of the End Fitting From the DBSC Male once connected.

• Automatic to connect Male DBSC to Female DBSC

• Automatic to release end fitting/pull in head from Male DBSC (Winch control only)

• Intervention to disconnect Male DBSC from Female DBSC (fully reversible)(this can be can be hard piped to topside to remove any need for ROV or Divers)

Page 12: Diverless Bend Stiffener Connectors (DBSC)

END FITTING RELEASE SYSTEMSMale Latch End Fitting Release System

Uses a similar CAM system to the DBSC Female to attach to grooves machined on the end fitting. No intervention needed to connect DBSC Male to Female, ROV Hot Stab used to release End Fitting from DBSC Male.

• Automatic to connect Male DBSC to Female DBSC

• Intervention to release end fitting/pull in head from Male DBSC (Diver/ROV Hot Stab)

• Intervention to disconnect Male DBSC from Female DBSC (fully reversible)

Provides short term protection to the area of the DBSC Female bore which interfaces with the DBSC Male, reducing the risk of damage, debris buildup and marine growth prior to DBSC Male installation.

Bespoke designs are tailored to each project requirement. Can be latched into position, strapped to the DBSC Female or hung off via messenger wire.

Recommended when an extended period of time is planned between DBSC Female Installation and DBSC Male pull-in (e.g. where installed on a spare or future guide tube, or projects with a long period of wet storage).

Intended to keep the full DBSC Female assembly protected from impact, debris and marine growth until required for operation.

Can be latched into position or hung off via messenger wire.

Page 15: Diverless Bend Stiffener Connectors (DBSC)

Typically supplied as 4 metallic sections strapped into position,

the Long Term DBSC Male Coverprotect the DBSC Male from

damage from the sea bed, along with mitigating against impact,

debris and marine growth

DBSC ANCILLARIESDBSC Male Covers

The PVC polymer Short Term DBSC Male Cover prevents dirt and debris from damaging the

DBSC Male, and prevents Marine Growth in the short term.

Provided as standard with all Automatic DBSC Males, the DBSC Male Poppet Cover

prevents premature engagement of the poppets during handling

and shipping activities.
