Return the stubs and money of the Grand Raffle to the rectory at your earliest convenience.
The school will be closed on October 8, 9, & 12 (Thursday, Friday & Monday)-There are no classes on these days.
There are no Religious Educa on classes on October 9 & 10 (Friday & Saturday). And also no Confirma on classes on Monday, Oct 12.
Any other parish group or ac vity scheduled to meet from Tuesday, Oct 6 thru Monday, Oct 12 in any of the church’s facili es will have to cancel their mee ng.
Everything resumes with the regular schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Welcoming the little ones and the marginalized - No one owns Jesus Like Moses before him, Jesus wants God's healing power to be shared by as many as possible. When a disciple complains about a man who is healing in Jesus' name but who is not one of their company, Jesus assures him, "Anyone who is not against us is with us.” Doing good is not to be restricted to an exclusive few. Giving good example to the "little ones" or those of simple faith will be rewarded. Anyone who leads them astray deserves punish-ment. Since our hands, our feet, and our eyes can lead us into sin, we are to use them in ways that honor God's Kingdom of love, jus-tice, and peace. By doing so, we help to make God's reign visible in our midst. This Sunday’s Gospel presents three important requirements for the conversion of anyone who wishes to be Jesus’ disciple: (a) Not to have a closed mentality like that of John the disciple who thought he owned Jesus, but to be open and ecumenical, able to recognise good in others, even though they may belong to an-other religion. (b) To overcome the mentality of those who considered them-selves superior to others and who, thus, despised the little ones
and the poor and drew apart from the community. According to Jesus, such a person deserves to have a millstone tied round his neck and to be thrown into the depths of the sea. (c) Jesus asks us not to let routine enter our living out of the Gospel, but that we may be able to break the ties that prevent us from living it fully. Acoger a los pequeños y marginados - Ninguno es el dueño de Jesús. Igual que Moisés antes que él, Jesús quiere que el poder sanador de Dios sea compartido por la mayor cantidad de personas posi-ble. Cuando los discípulos protestaron sobre un hombre que quería ser sanado en nombre de Jesús porque no era de su grupo, Jesús le aseguró: "El que no está contra nosotros está con nosotros". Hace el bien no es exclusivamente de unos pocos. Dar buen ejemplo a los "pequeños" o los de fe simple será recompensado. Todo aquel que de mal ejemplo merece ser castigado. Porque nuestras manos, pies y ojos pueden llevarnos a pecar, debemos usarlos en forma que honren el reino de amor, paz y justicia de Dios. Haciendo esto ayu-damos a hacer visible el reino de Dios en nuestro medio. El Evangelio de este domingo presenta tres impor-tantes exigencias de conversión para el que quiera ser discípulo de Jesús: (a) No tener la mentalidad cerrada del discípulo Juan, que pensaba ser el dueño de Jesús, sino tener una actitud abierta y ecuménica, capaz de reconocer el bien en los otros, aunque sean de otra religión. (b) Superar la mentalidad de aquellos que se consideraban superiores a los otros, y que , por esto, despreciaban a los pequeños y pobres y se alejaban de la comunidad. Para Jesús esta persona merecía la soga al cuello y ser arrojado al fondo del mar. (c) Je-sús pide no dejar que entre la rutina en el vivir el Evangelio, sino que pide que seamos capaces de romper los lazos que nos impiden vivirlo en plenitud.
