Understanding a country's laws and customs can help you adjust to a new home abroad. Daily life may be unsettling at first, so any preparation you do could help you adjust more quickly. Appreciating cultural and legal differences could also help you avoid potentially embarrassing or difficult situations. Today's successful managers require the skills to operate in a global marketplace, to understand the cultural implications of their decisions and possess the ability to turn cultural difference to competitive advantage. The growing need to negotiate and communicate effectively across cultural boundaries demands a high level of understanding as to the ways in which different cultures approach issues. The earlier this Cross Cultural Awareness can be created, the more effective the individuals selected by their companies to become the international managers of tomorrow, are likely to be. In today’s multicultural society, we have to increasingly interact with people from different cultures, whether it is selling to Chinese clients or working with people from Poland. The Cross Cultural Awareness Programme is key to managing these interactions successfully.

Cultural awareness Is something that hasn’t been around that long that you hasn’t been seen a one of the main issues that are being dealt with. All over England there are up and coming, religions (mostly Muslim group) they are certain areas where over 70% of the community is muslim

What does religion or belief meanYou are protected by law from discrimination because of your religion or belief if you:belong to an organised religion such as Christianity, Judaism or Islam have a profound belief which affects your way of life or view of the world. This includes religious and philosophical beliefs, or a lack of belief, such as Atheism take part in collective worship belong to a smaller religion or sect, such as Scientology or Rastafarianism have no religion, for example, if you are an atheist

Religion is something that has blossomed throughout England in the last 10 years which is a reflection on how important religion used to be because in the 17th century religion was one of the most important things you could go to prison for skipping out on church. Nowadays on 50 percent of the population are religious

Stacey Dooley is a young teenager that’s wants to make people aware of what is going on around them, Stacey is going around Luton to talk to and unite the sides of Luton that don’t see eye to eye, these two groups are the Muslim and the white working people. For years this has been an on going issue that Stacey is trying her hardest to stop, it’s proving to be a difficult task because there is a group that are openly against the beliefs of Islam.

when I was looking at Pedram Harby’s work, I noticed an obvious pattern throughout his work, his work always has some sort of reference to Arabic writing. The designs have used white space quite well none of these designs are to busy or congested. There are quite a few patterns throughout each book cover, on each blurb there is a similar Arabic typeface.

Jianping he: he his a Chinese designer his work is brilliant and quite peculiar because there not your everyday style of design. The design on the left are some of his early work these pieces i found were in his biography of his life. The man with no face is one of his most simplest designs, the piece underneath that one is most likely a design piece on more personal level because of his ethnic origin of being born in china. The design on the far right Is again links to his background because the typeface is from his home country. The design in the middle is the only one that doesn’t link to him on a more personal level because there’s nothing that signifies that it has any Asian orientation, the design Is interesting because I noticed that he like to you strange (mostly dark) lighting and the colour black has complemented the use of the white space.

I used illustrator for my first experiment the first experiment went very well, for my to get to this I had to used a normal text bitmap and turn it into a vector by creating outlines.

This experiment was done using I slightly more advanced techniques the first being the stroke I put on the outside of the text. Next I used a rectangle vector to cover to text and ‘Envelope distort’ this distorts the text to my liking.

For my last experiment I decided that I wanted to use text paths by making curved lines I decided that I could make an simple eye just by using text.

For this exercise I was given the instructions how to make my text and image combine to give the appropriate effect, this method is called clipping mask. The clipping mask I a useful technique that can make text more conventional to a design, as you can see I chose to use a milk snake and wrote ‘snake’ so you can see the connection

This is a short step by step process of how clipping mask work, the first step is just getting my background for the mask I chose ice for my second one. The second step is to put text over the image select the white arrow on the task bar then highlight both layers, right click and select clipping mask and you get your out come.
