Dixie Vintage President Jim Black has streamlined the process for ordering name tags. This new process will expedite the delivery of your nametag to your home. The order form will be available in the tent at Krispy Kreme Cruise-ins. The member needing a name tag will complete the order form and mail it with payment to Crown Trophy. The finished name tag will be mailed to you. We encourage each of our members to own and wear a Dixie Vintage Car Club name tag. We really do want to get to know you. The cost of the name tag is $10.00.
Dixie Vintage Antique Automobile Club
The Dixie Vintage Antique Automobile
Club Newsletter is published monthly by Dixie Vintage An-tique Automobile Club, Inc., a non-profit Alabama Corpora-tion. The purpose of this Club is to promote interest in restor-ing and preserving antique, classic, and special interest old cars; and to provide a social club for members and their fami-lies of mutual interest to all. Monthly meetings and activities are conducted in a variety of locations. We encourage mem-bership from other automobile clubs and orphan marquees. The only requirement to become a member of Dixie Vintage Antique Automobile Club, Inc. is an interest in the history and preservation of automobiles.

Past Meets Present
An Update by Gary Adams
At Krispy Kreme Cruise-inThis 1950 Ford is a hot rod built in the late 50s by Albert Pardi, best friend of Jimmy Likis. Albert was a great mechanic and expertly transplanted a Chevrolet 265, V-8, Power Pack engine into the Ford. The car has a three-speed manual transmission with Smitty exhausts. The car was driven by Padri until the late seventies. Pardis’ nieces and nephews fondly remember many Sunday afternoon rides in Uncle Alberts’s Ford. Seeing the Ford for the first time in many years in the photos below are Tony Pardi, Sal Pardi, and Bernice Moran. Also remembering those rides, but not pictured, are nephews Mike Likis and Sal Sicola. I think all named in this article are Dixie Vintage members with the exception of Bernice and Sal who are being actively recruited.

New Member's Project Ken Knight a new member of the club is restoring a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette. His first steps are replacing the complete front suspen-sion and steering and then will start the body work. As you can see the car is beautifully finished on one side but not restored on the passenger side. The person Ken purchased the Corvette from wanted to get into the Corvette restoration business so only finished half of the car to show customers a before and after product.
