Materials for DIY Bird Feeder 1. Plastic soda bottle 2. Plastic plate – could be anything from a pot’s tray, disposable dining plate, ice cream tub lid 3. Wire or thick nylon/plastic string 4. Materials for DIY Bird Feeder

1. Plastic soda bottle

2. Plastic plate – could be anything from a pot’s tray, disposable dining plate, ice cream tub lid

3. Wire or thick nylon/plastic string

4. Long nose pliers

Procedure

• Make a couple of holes on the plastic soda bottle’s bottom part, on the sides near the base – use sharp scissor to cut or use a hot metal (e.g. Old screw driver) to melt the plastic

• Make a couple of holes on the plastic plate

•Insert the wire on the holes on the plastic plate

•Place plastic bottle in the middle and secure the neck with the wire

• Add a mix of birdseeds and a handful of uncooked rice (or rice in hull if available)
