Temporarily attach the leg stretcher to the center of the lower leg pieces. Do not over
tighten the screws. This is just to establish the screw loation for final assembly later. Mark
which end goes with which leg.
Remove the leg stretcher and attach the third foot to the opposite side of
each leg
Add the foot pads with glue and brad nails. Make sure the nails go below the surface so you don’t scratch your floor. Assemble the first layer of the top part of each leg. Make sure the miters are on the same sides and the 2-1/2” pocket hole screws are on the
opposite side

Connect the first top layer to the feet for each leg assembly. Make
sure the Kreg HD screws are facing the same way as the third
foot.
Add the angled bracing. These are just screwed in on an angle with 2-1/2” screws. Pre-drilling these before you screw them down will prevent the 2x4 from
splitting. Use a little bit of glue and two screws at each connection. Make sure the first top layer re-
mains square.

Add the second top layer. Use glue and 2-1/2” screws to secure it
to the layer below.
Add the third layer the same way as the second making sure the long piece
is centered. Once they are secured clamp your Kreg Jig to the top layer
and drill the final pocket holes in place. This is how we will attach the top later.
Drill the appropriate holes for 1-1/4” pocket hole screws into 3/4” material
as indicated by these arrows

You should now have 3 sub as-semblies and the leg stretcher.
Sand these and apply your finish of choice.
Take all of the finished parts to its final destination. Flip the legs upside down and connect them with the leg stretcher using the previously located holes. You may need a
helping hand for this.
Carefully flip the legs back upright and set the top on. The top layer of the leg assemblies should fit snug in between
the long top 2x4 trim. Center the top left to right and fasten it down with 1-1/4” pocket hole screws. Then pat yourself
on the back and enjoy!
