In the morning of 21 November 2019, the President of Djibouti triggered the OR S EC plan("Plan d’Organisation des S ecours en cas de Catastrophes") following severe rainfall andflooding of many roads and houses in Djibouti City and other close-by areas. T he local houseconstruction is not designed to withstand torrential rainfall or flooding and several schoolshave been closed.T he present map shows the damage grade assessment in the area of Djibouti. T he thematiclayer has been derived from three post-event images by means of visual interpretation. W ithrespect to cloud cover, an area is classified as “Not analysed” where clouds are present in allthe post-event images, otherwise areas are analysed. T he back ground image is from27/11/2019 07:52 UT C. T he estimated geometric accuracy (R MS E) is 20 m or better, fromnative positional accuracy of the back ground satellite image.
