Single Conductor DLO • Industrial Motor Lead Cable 14 AWG - 777 KCMIL • 1000 Volts • 90°C Applications These cables were designed for use as motor and power leads where flexi- bility and portability are required. DLO cables are also suitable for use in wiring diesel-electric locomotives, railroad and transit cars, earth moving equipment, offshore drilling rigs, storage batteries, charging equipment and in sizes 1/0 AWG and larger, flexible wiring for installation in conduit or tray per the NEC. Construction Conductor: Class I stranded, tin coated annealed copper per ASTM B-33 and B-172. Separator: A suitable opaque separator tape shall be used over the con- ductor to facilitate stripping. Insulation and Jacket: Black, heavy duty, oil-resistant chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSPE). Other colors available upon special request. Print Legends: The surface of the jacket shall be printed using white ink and with the following information: Sizes 14 AWG through 1 AWG: “(size) AWG CSPE 1000 VOLTS A.I.W. CORP.” Sizes 1/0 AWG and larger: “(size) AWG (or KCMIL) CSPE Diesel Locomotive Cable 1000 VOLTS IEEE 383---USE or RHH or RHW VW-1 600V. SUN RES FOR CT USE (UL)---A.I.W. CORP.---CSA(Size KCMIL where applicable) AWM I B 90°C 600V FT4---” Note: 262 KCMIL and larger are marked at the next lowest CSA recognized size.
