Validations in Device Management IValidations in Device Management I

In the SAP system we have Validations for the Meter Reading Results.

There are 2 types of Validations.

1. Independent Validations.

2. Dependent Validations.

Menu path in customizing is Device Management -> Meter Reading -> Validations.

We also have User defined Validations.Menu path in customizing is Tools -> System Modifications -> User Defined

Validations.Validations.

Independent ValidationsIndependent Validations

•Validation that applies to one specific register.

•Fixed independent validations are carried out automatically in the system.

•Variable independent validations are carried out based on customizing settings.

Fixed Independent Validations Fixed Independent Validations are

•95 (previous meter reading implausible)

•96 (fixed value deviation validation)

•97 (resetting register validation)

Variable Independent Validations areVariable Independent Validations are•01 (zero consumption)

•02 - 04 (permitted number of meter readings by the customer, estimations

and estimations + meter readings by the customer)

•05-07 (tolerance limits, absolute, relative and floating)

•11 (usage hours greater than usage hours of previous period)

•12 (usage hours compared to fixed value)

•13 (current demand compared to maximum demand)

Validations in Device Management IIValidations in Device Management II

•13 (current demand compared to maximum demand)

•14 (current demand compared with minimum demand)

•15 (meter overflow)

Dependent Validations

Validation that applies to several registers in one device or

installation

Validations :

•Active/reactive relationship 01

•Serial switching relationship 02

•On-/off peak relationship 03

Validations in Device Management IIIValidations in Device Management III

•On-/off peak relationship 03

•Control relationship 04

•Volume correction factor relationship 05

•Volume correction factor calculation relationship 06

•Resetting register relationship 07

For more info on Validations check out the Customizing path in the SAP system
