PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The DMC-2000 DICOM Media Creator provides a cost-effective means of burning patient images and results generated by a variety of imaging modalities. Patient studies are stored on medical grade CD-R and DVD-R discs in DICOM Part 10 format.

The software you need to view the DICOM images is also conveniently stored on the media. This storage technique makes it possible for you to easily view patient studies on DICOM-compliant review stations or standard PCs.

FEATURES AT A GLANCE

• Network attached appliance• On-demand CD/DVD creation from any browser-equipped PC on the hospital network• Small footprint• Create DICOM-compliant CDs and DVDs• Import data from CDs and DVDs your facility receives

• Friendly browser-based interface• Flexible labeling options• Include diagnostic reports and non-DICOM data on CD• Include multiple viewers for disc distribution• Automatic disc creation and scheduling• All CD/DVD creation activity is recorded in log files that can later be queried with powerful search tools• View date range logs

DICOM Compliant Modalities(for example)

CD-R or DVDmedia

DICOM-compliant device — Connects to any approved DICOM-compliant modality or network.

Data import — Import data from the discs your facility receives. You can store received data on the DMC unit or push to your PACS (or another modality).

Browser interface — Easy-to-use menu driven intuitive interface.

Labeling options — Discs can be configured to include any patient information, institution logo, or important comments.

Diagnostic Reports/Non-DICOM data — Automatically query a PACS Broker to retrieve diagnostic reports. Without a PACS Broker, save diagnostic reports (or any file you would like included within the disc) to a "hot folder".

Created discs adhere to the DICOM Part 10 standard. This means any other DICOM Part 10-compliant device can read the discs.

Import individual DICOM files. DMC lets you import images even from competing manufacturers.

Authorized users in your network can simultaneously store, query, retrieve and create/import discs. The interface is simple-to-use and is easily customized to reflect your facility colors and logo.

After the CD/DVD has been recorded, the device automatically labels the CD-R or DVD-R with important patient demographic information. The DICOM label software can print the hospital logo and address on the disc. The CD/DVD printer provides black and white or color thermal print.

This result information and data is automatically included on the disc. User can conveniently refer to result information and other data while reviewing patient images from CD.

The DMC 2000 supports all common DICOM compliant Information Object Definitions including:

Secondary Capture - (SC) Computed Tomography - (CT) Magnetic Resonance - (MR) X-ray Angiography - (XA) X-ray Fluoroscopy - (XRF) Nuclear Medicine - (NM) Positron Emission Tomography - (PET) Mammography - (MG) Digital Radiography - (DX) Computed Radiography - (CR) UltraSound - (US) UltraSound Multi-Frame - (US MF)

DMC-2000 DICOM CONNECTIVITY

The DMC-2000 performs image transfers with any approved DICOM-compliant modality or network. Hardware connectivity is achieved using Ethernet network connections. The DMC-2000 performs as a DICOM Storage Service Class Provider (SCP) to receive studies pushed to it from network-connected modalities, and as a Service Class User (SCU), to send studies to

modalities. The DMC-2000 also performs as a DICOM query/retrieve client, which enables it to pull studies from DICOM query servers. Studies received by the DMC-2000 are stored in a database on a local hard drive. Studies can also be added to the local hard drive using the DMC-2000 DVD-ROM reader/writer.

Auto-Run Discs — Intuitive web page details how to view disc data.

Business-centric disc creation — Process of creating discs is designed to accommodate your business needs and increase your production flow.

Automatic anonymization — Patient studies can be anonymized while the original patient data is stored in a HIPAA-compliant audit log file.

When referring physicians insert a DMC disc into their reader, a web page automatically launches, providing ready access to the disc contents (included viewers, DICOM and non-DICOM data, such as diagnostic reports and dictations, for example).

• Include multiple DICOM viewers in distribution discs.

• Easily create one or more schedules to automatically create discs based on a number of configurable parameters (such as date/time, full discs or delays).

• Create patient data discs that comply with the DICOM standard for “Basic Application Level Confidentiality.”

• View date range-enabled logs for individual users, patients, jobs, and more.

Easily makes information useable for teaching and conferences.

AUTO MODE

1.1. Patient studies are transferred through the DICOM protocol from an imaging modality (CT or MR scanner, for example) or a workstation to the DMC-2000. Depending upon the modality, the transfer may be initiated by the operator at the modality or may occur automatically after the exam is complete.

2.2. When patient studies are received by the DMC-2000, they are automatically copied to a CD/DVD based upon rules previously configured on the DMC-2000. For example, each study may be stored individually on a single piece of media. Alternatively, the DMC-2000 may be configured to group all studies for the same patient or modality on media.

3 Upon completion of recording, a label providing patient demographics is automatically printed on the surface of the media.

MANUAL MODE

1.The operator logs into the DMC-2000 from any network-connected PC using a Web browser.

2.Using the DMC-2000 search tool, the operator queries any DICOM networked device (including the DMC-2000 itself) to locate the patient studies he/she wishes to record on the CD/DVD.

3.With a simple click of a mouse button, the operator adds the desired studies to a selection cart whose contents are displayed on the bottom half of the screen.

4.When all desired studies have been added to the selection cart, the operator submits an order to record the contents of the selection cart on the CD/DVD and print a label on its surface. Prior to submitting the order, the operator may specify unique parameters (for example, label, comments, copies, or media type) for the order, or may simply proceed with default parameters.

5.After submitting an order, the operator may repeat steps 2 through 4 to submit additional orders.

6.Orders are placed in a queue as they are submitted. Orders are processed out of the queue in a sequential fashion. The queue may be viewed and manipulated by the operator to determine order progress, or cancel orders, for example.
